The characters do mundane things that usually never make it into the written version. Learning new words is a good exercise, but should be a minimum, at least in my style of writing. Mainly because I don't want my writing to seem unnatural or unlike my everyday speaking. To inject a lot of words that regular folk wouldn't know or use would not be true to my own voice. A few fancy words in a book is never a bad thing, but it is not a tool i would use throughout the book. :malefav: I love this place!! |
