First of all the driver was an idiot for not moving to the outside lane though he might have been scared having a cop right on his ass. Some state cops in my area do this as an intimidation tactic to try to get you to go over the speed limit so they can ticket you. If that doesn't work they back off to run your plate and see if you have outstanding warrants, unpaid insurance, etc. If you are clean they move on to somebody else.

The "fast lane" is the passing lane you idiot. What if the driver you are purposely impeding causes a person to miss seeing a loved one alive in the last moments? But I do think the cop was REALLY taking a chance, with a dumbass like that. The dumbass could easily have hit his brakes, and that cop would have been at fault for colliding with him.

Just how would the cop have ticketed the driver? DO you know what the speed limit was and DO YOU know how fast the car was going while the cop was harassing them?? The cop harassed the person and broke the law.

It depends on local traffic laws in high density traffic areas all lanes are used equally. Not all vehicles could fit in the right lane. Left lane for passing is only valid for low traffic areas.

I've always thought there should be this traffic law: If at a 4 way stop, and you're going straight, the hazards should be turned on. Only because I've found. Most people with an indicator on, seem mid intersection to swerve out of there "turn" and continue straight.
