Shouldn't being a Christian always mean you at least strive not to hate? That you act like you don't hate and resist the urge to do so as best you can? I'm not a Christian, and I can see that's part of the point of the religion! We should all seek to be better than we were before. We should try to make the world a better place, for everyone. It harms the world to go around being unkind and saying unkind things, so we should try not to do that and correct ourselves when it happens. *I shouldn't have to be saying any of this either, but someone has to, or we're heading for a cliff that we may not be able to pull back from, as a society. |

Not everyone, mind you, but a growing number. I know a lot of people on here wish for DOOM because their lives are miserable and they want things to change. Well, don't you think the world would change for the better if there wasn't so much hate?? Some people hate gays and lesbians, some hate black people, some even hate women. But let me ask you something haters...do you honestly think you are better than the people you hate? Here's a hint...you're not! In God's eyes we are all equal and He loves us all. Let's take gays and lesbians as an example, because of the recent brou-ha-ha with the Duck Dynasty guy. Many Christians (not all, but a good number of them) preach hate against gays and lesbians because the Bible says it's wrong and it's a sin. Hmmm..."let he without sin cast the first stone." And how about "judge not lest ye be judged." EVERYONE sins, it's just a basic fact. And if two people are in love, and want to express that love, be it a man and a woman, a man and a man or a woman and a woman, who are any of us to tell them that it's wrong? I know it says in the Bible that pre-marital sex is wrong, so why is it that straight men and women who jump from partner to partner hardly get any grief, yet two men or two women in love are "going to hell?" And no, I am not a lesbian, but I do have gay and lesbian friends. And you know what? They are NOT perverts, they are NOT pedophiles and they do NOT have sex with animals!! They are just decent people, like most everybody else. And while I'm at it, I have to address the hatred for black people on this board. You DO know that it's almost 2014, right?? Judging someone simply based on their skin color is as ludicrous as judging them based on the color of their eyes!!
