When Tamiflu first came out I got some Star Anise and put it in an air tight container. It's kept pretty good. I made my Grandma's Anise Biscotti recipe with ground star anise and it was good. Simple biscotti with walnuts or macnuts. Makes a good and easy way to get the herb onboard.

Washing your hands, or using an antiseptic wipe, whenever you are touching doorknobs at the clinic or anywhere really, during flu season is one of the best ways to protect yourself. (Turn the handle at the Dr. Office with a tissue or wipe, men use a hanky.) And at the drug store, pushing those baskets around, grab an ad paper and wrap it around the handle.....Use your wits and wash before you eat when you are out and as soon as you get home. Protect yourself during flu season.
