We need huge and good tools to do huge things, like retire. and give to others. with a small tool, you don't get much done - it takes time to rake a yard full of leaves with a rake the size of your hand. So an obsession with money is really an obsession with how to reach financial goals more efficiently. I wish more people were obsessed with money as a tool - it would save them, and us, lots of heartache and foreclosures. No one way to handle money is right for everyone, you seem to be on the way to finding yours. But one thing - my husband and I are process servers. We WOULD find you, if we were in your area. At least, there is a very strong chance we would find you. check out spokeo and see if you are on it. Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

You have no plastic to fall back on, so when you're out, you're really out! It's a good thing, but maybe you're overboard a little. How many instances have you found yourself in a pickle and out of money? Maybe you have a little $PTSD? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23207426 Canada 12/24/2013 08:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What worked for me is taking 10% of my currency (money is not currency btw) and putting it into money (au/ag/btcoin etc) that is hard to spend out of pocket. Do that religiously and soon you will have a 'stack' and so what if you can't eat it. The lesson is in the learning. After awhile you realize the benefits of saving which is hard to do with wallets or pockets full of currency. For the record I have no bank account, a minimal income (I live on 1200 a month and have children) and don't want to make much more. My 120 put away in au/ag is reassuring enough. I might consider btcoin at some point though...hope this helps ya! |
