Cast iron...

I thought someone here might know something.

I saw at a friend's house so I had them send a pic.. Said they found at a tag sale in Connecticut.

Nothing written on it that we could see, if anyone would like another angle I could ask for another pic.

i have a pyrite owl figurine following me around my life... it's an odd little thing, and i don't trust it. but it used to keep surfacing over and over again, in the most far-fetched ways.

i just keep it stored and forget about it nowadays. never found out what the little thing was all about.

Does yours look similar?
Can you elaborate on not trusting it?

This owl doesn't seem to have brought any bad luck or energy to my friends that I know of, however they have just acquired over the summer and it is very intriguing none the less. Something about it is calling out to me.

Interesting that you seem to not trust it, yet can't quite distance yourself away enough to get rid of it. A love hate thing?

i don't trust it because it has an odd vibe. and the way the eyes (glass, with painted plastic or paper behind it) look at me.

 Quoting: Krystle|Ann
i thought about destroying it ritually in a fire (would be hard to do with pyrite, but possible with a good fire and a sturdy sledgehammer). but since i never found out what made it odd, i didn't.

i did have an encounter with a adult snow owl once, which was a magnificent thing to see so close (and very rare in my area).

I saw an owl get hit by a car once last winter as the sun rose on my way to work....I felt bad for it at first, but since my "awakening", I have always wondered if it was supposed to mean something. It didnt die immediately, but shortly after.

Owls are interesting. I've had a few run ins with them over the years.

But what is interesting to me is that from the time I was a young teen (late 70s) I knew I was going to get a tat and I knew it HAD to be an owl. I waited till I was 28 to get the owl tat and years later saw the Bohemian Grove owl and the design on napkins and what not for the grove looks like the tat I got blink Knowing it had to be an owl tat was weird because I had no association or love for owls - I'm a turtle girl.

I had just mentioned this while bumping another related thread.. Went to a local Home Goods that literally had nine different owl themed decor items, prominently displayed.. Who knows how many more there would have been if I searched top to bottom!

every aisle I turned into literally had one staring right now at me lol

I snapped some pictures, maybe I will add them later.

I don't know, but I have noticed they are suddenly quite popular. In the book Kicking the Goat Silly the Illuminati used the owl tat as a sign of a remote viewer.

Is the back flat? No stamps anywhere?

Seems like it was mounted on something, It's left "foot" looks like a rivet, right looks like a guide piece that would fit in to a slot so the object wont turn on the missing base with just one rivet.
I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw.

We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three.

You are right on the Sandy Hook point, it seems to have sparked a marketing trend in all of this...

Working now on uploading a collage of all those 'Home Goods' owls I mentioned earlier..

Marshals had a pair of large dangling owl earrings..

Home Goods, Marshals and TJ Maxx are all under the same conglomerate, no?

You probably know more than I would regarding these things but it's round and very small/short, I wouldn't think it'd do well as one? Unless for those very old, small books..?

Still waiting on my friend's pics, but meanwhile here is a collage I put together of all the owl décor at just *one* Home Goods location:

I posted a thread on the "owl tsunami" occurring at Homegoods and other stores back in Sept. It blew my mind, truly.

And the phenomenon continues with owls interspersed into the Christmas theme at Pier 1 and other mainstream stores.
