Lots of misinformation in this thread.
Animal flesh and secretions do cause inflammation. Your diet should be no more than 5% animal products. A recent study showed that the diets of most Americans are 94% animal products and processed foods. It's no wonder people are getting sick and making money for doctors.
97% don't get enough fibre. Fibre comes from plants, which keeps your digestive system moving smoothly. Your diet should be mostly plants.
However you absolutely can be very healthy without eating any animal and only eating plants, as the recent documentary The Game Changers has shown.
98% of animal flesh now comes from animals tortured in factory farms and killed on converyor belts of death. It is not "living off the land" to eat meat nowadays.
Besides, industrialized animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transportation sector. It is the leading cause of wildlife habitat destruction. It poisons waterways with its effluent, most notably the Gulf of Mexico. Eating meat will soon be taxed because of its impact on the environment, like it or not.
There's really no reason to eat animals.
