Listen, I'm not a christian, I'm not even religious, but the bible is a story, it's meant to be a parable, an allegory, and the original testament has been revised and revised by monk after monk not to mention vested interests in the way the religion developed...

But hey, all of history is kind of a jumbled mess like that. We can't really uncrack an egg, so we don't really know the past. I feel like something useful can be learned from all things, and even if you are not religious, there is no reason to pettily dismiss things of sacred importance to some people.
