People don't go to hell for their sins..
Those who fail to accept the free payment of their sins, paid by Jesus's death, go to hell because they are still in the prison(place) of sin.
Once you accept Christ you are moved into the place of righteousness.

All the bad deeds are not what send you to hell. The punishment for those sins were judged and punished in the body of Jesus Christ at the cross.
It's what you choose to do with Christ that determines your ultimate fate.

May God's grace find you hf

We are by preaching the Gospel.

By proclaiming the good news that our ticket to heaven is a free gift and God isn't holding their sins against them.
Past. Present. Future sins are covered.
Once you are in Christ, God sees you as righteous FOREVER.
When we fail or sin, that doesnt change our position of righteousness.
No, that's not a license to sin, but once we start believing right we will live right.

Hell is your own mind, the bad feeling/conscience you get if done something wrong (sin)
It will keep torturing you until you set it right.

And this applies to all, not just cristians... same thing but differently phrased

beautifully put
unless someone chooses you as the victim in their knock-out game
smashes your face in, bounces your head off the concrete and leaves you to die, you barely survive, mutilated with a mangled face all deformed by your attackers and having brain damage, living 75 years like a total reject, shitting yourself, losing everything, and left to your own resources

while everyone turns the other cheek for your attacker
even letting him keep your money, steal your car, kill your children
and Jesus tells you that you don't get any free healing, yet your assailant is absolved of any wrongdoing

that's a hell of a good thing ain't it

then you get to Heaven and the person does it all again

Ridiculous nonsense.

A life spent doing good deeds with unselfish motives matters whether or not you've ever heard the name of Jesus or cared to accept the story of his existence.

 Quoting: gbear

Man was originally created in the image of God and for the glory of God (Genesis chapter 2).

The invisible war against man started with the first temptation in the garden of Eden (Genesis chapter 3). Satan caused Adam and Eve to sin.

This resulted in all men inheriting the basic sin nature and committing individual acts of sin due to this nature:
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. (Romans 5:12)

It also resulted in the invisible war between man and the forces of evil:

And I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman (mankind), and between thy seed (the forces of evil) and her seed (the forces of good represented by the Lord Jesus Christ)... (Genesis 3:15)

Because of sin, man was separated from God and condemned to death. But God loved man so much that He made a special plan to save him from sin:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)

Through belief in Jesus, confession of and repentance from sin, men and women can be released from the power of the enemy.

The death and resurrection of Jesus not only resulted in salvation from sin. It also defeated the enemy, Satan:

...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (I John 3:8)

But if Satan is defeated, why does the war still rage?

Following any war there are always pockets of enemy resistance, rebellious troops that will not give up until forced to do so.

Although Jesus defeated Satan, we are living in territory which is still occupied by enemy resistance forces. Understanding spiritual warfare strategies gives us the ability to deal with these evil powers.

Satan is trying to keep men captive in sin. Through deceptive methods he is enticing men and women to temporary lusts of sinful living. He aims for the affections of the soul and spirit which rightfully belong to God:

The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Satan still wants to be the supreme ruler. He is waging an intense battle for the heart, mind, soul, and spirit of man.

His strategies are directed at God, His plan, and His people. The battle will continue until the great final conflict.

You are very confident of your destiny while condemning another. Not a wise thing to do.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13

There is no Hell, there is no Devil and there is no Satan. If you kill someone, you will be killed the next lifetime.

You bombed and blew 100 up with 50 dead and 50 Injured then you will suffered 100 lifetimes with 50 injured and 50 death.

The law of attraction is still intact. The is Hell.

Well, I can play the "What if" game too.
What if, all that does happen and the Lord convicts him and he asks for forgiveness and becomes eternally saved, by believing in Christ, as a result of those horrible crimes?
He can kill my body, but not my spirit.
That's exactly who Christ came for people like you just described.
People, who have no way out, who are hurt and bent on making others hurt more than they have been hurt their entire lives.

That's why I am so in love with HIM.

I believe there is a literal heaven and a literal hell.
You didn't even understand my post.
The reason people go to hell is because of what they choose to do with Jesus.
Not because of the sin debt. The debt has been PAID IN FULL by Christ's death and resurrection.

I'm sorry, but you're terribly wrong. Your religion has blinded you into thinking something so nonsensical that I truly feel sorrow for you.

To think that someone cannot be free of sin because they do not believe in the existence of Jesus is so illogical it's a wonder people convince themselves to believe it.

Tell me, can the aboriginal tribes who've never heard the name Jesus never be righteous because of that? Of course they can. Because righteousness is a matter or conduct not a matter of belief.

Do yourself a favor, and remove yourself from this boxed in way of thinking you've resigned yourself to. Believe in Christ, by all means. But this ideology that one must accept Christ or be damned is an absurdity of immense proportions. And this is coming from a person who believes that the Jesus figure indeed lived.

The deeds of our lives will be what we are judged by. The love we've spread. The unselfishness we've shown. These are the things Jesus is concerned with, not whether or not we believed he existed.

The pope is Satan himself. He acts as god on earth. Are you sure you want to follow and believe what the pope (Satan) says?

Do not be deceived.

Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Notice that Jesus does not say he will show you the way. He says, "I am the way!"

Jesus also spoke of a narrow road and a wide road. Many walk on that wide road, which in the end is the way of death (see Matthew 7:13).

God's peace fills your heart when you walk in the way of Christ. Jesus said to His followers, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives" (John 14:27). God's peace is a gift available to each of us.

When you walk in the way of Christ, you experience an inner peace - tremendous quiet in your heart. The broken pieces in your life are put together again.

The way of life is also the way of purity. The Bible says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8).

The way of life in Christ is also the way of love. "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another," Jesus said (John 13:35). The Bible adds, "We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers" (1 John 3:14).

Today, the word love has been robbed of meaning. It's used to describe a person exploiting the emotions of another for his own satisfaction and selfishness. But that is not love. True love wants the very best for someone no matter what it may cost us.

The way of life is also the way of obedience. The way of the Christian is to serve only one master--Jesus. The Bible describes Him as "Lord of lords and King of kings" (Revelation 17:14). The Christian lives as though this is true. Jesus becomes your Lord, your Master, your King. What He says goes.

The servant of a king waits for the slightest hint of a command, then rushes to obey. A soldier following the leadership of a great commander willingly obeys every order.

Accept Jesus Christ, repent, pray, ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit, study the King James Bible, and take the yoke of Jesus upon you.

OP, be cautious of listening to and/or following main stream tv preachers and evangelists. They are false teachers.

Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you as you read the King James Bible, and pray.

But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him. (I John 2:27)

The Holy Spirit will teach and train you to minister in His Strength not your own. He will give you the words to speak and share with others as you reach out with the Gospel message.

No matter how much people know about God and the Bible, it is not a confirmation of salvation. The devil before his fall, was one of the bright and morning stars, a flame of fire, one excelling in strength and wisdom. Isaiah. 14:12, Ezekeil. 28:12-19.

There is no amount of knowledge of God and religion that could prove a person has been saved from their sin. A man may talk about the Bible, God, and the Trinity. He may be able to preach a sermon about Jesus Christ and everything He has done.

Somebody might be able to speak about the way of salvation and the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of sinners, perhaps even enough to show others how to become Christians. All these things are not proof of the saving grace of God in a person's heart.

When people agree with the Bible is no sure sign of salvation. James 2:19 shows that the demons really, truly, believe the truth. Just as they believe there is one God, they agree with all the truth of the Bible.

The Bible talks about believing that Jesus is the Son of God, as a proof of God's grace in the heart, the Bible means not a mere agreement with the truth, but another kind of believing.

"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. " (1 John 5:1)

This other kind of believing is called "Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; " (Titus 1:1) There is a spiritual holding to the truth.

Apostle James claims that if people think believing in one God is proof of God's grace, it is not proof, because demons believe the same. James is not referring to the act of believing only, but also to the emotions and actions that go along with their belief.

Men who have a genuine work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts have experiences and knowledge of a different kind.

Their source is the sense of the overwhelming holy beauty and loveliness of the things of God.

When a person grasps in his mind, and when he feels his own heart held captive by the attractiveness of the Divine, this is an unmistakable sign of God's Work in the person's life and heart.

 Quoting: Abinadi

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8: 1-10

Re: People don't go to hell for their sins..
Those who fail to accept the free payment of their sins, paid by Jesus's death, go to hell because they are still in the prison(place) of sin.

Then why are we Christers not liberating them ourselves, per Matthew 16:19? How hard is that?

Why do you always have to post ANON, instead of getting an account and being...well accountable, for what you preach yourself...

Gosh, the Protestant heresies, there is a list.

The above is the "imputation" heresy, Jesus did it all on
the Cross, you are covered, you're in, you're saved.

What a lie
. Jesus redeemed mankind on the cross, He opened Heaven, our justification is life long, remember...persevering to the end.

The heresy is this...Jesus' perfect righteousness and perfect
sacrifice on the Cross is "imputed" to you, you are justified

If the blood of bulls and goats covered the sins of the Israelites for one year.
How long will the blood of Christ, who is eternal, cover our sins?

Romans 4:8
KJV
"Blessed is the man whom the Lord will not impute sin".
David had the same revelation in the Old testament
Psalms 32:2
"Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile."
