There's a theory that the universe is re-created 22 trillion times a second, so we're really very young. It's the pattern that's relatively old, and subject to questioning.

i can understand (i guess) why some would think the earth is around 2000 years old. the bible believers. but also obviously there were people on earth before jesus. so earth would have to be older than 2014 years even for those fanatic believers.
