Yep - it is always the negroes that are talking loudly at a movie theater or using their phone.
When this happens, walk out and demand full cash refund to the movie, telling management that they weren't doing their job patrolling the movies for negroe talkers.

Alamo Drafthouse has a strict no talking, no texting policy. You get ONE warning and then they eject you out without a refund. Almost everyone who goes to the Alamo LOVES that policy (as do I), judging from the reviews -- about 10:1.

Personally, I HATE it when people talk or text during a movie, but the worst is when we pay close to $200 for a theater tickets (only once a year, btw, for our annual "big night out"), and some IDIOT is texting right in front of us. Very distracting and VERY inconsiderate.

No, you're not at all uptight. You are correct.

At ANY entertainment event, if people are distracting other people from being able to focus on the paid-for entertainment, they they ARE infringing on the rights of those who are being distracted.

I've also seen people doing this at $100+ seat events at live theater.
You just want to rip their head off when they are talking or using their cell phone.

No, I totally agree with you. And I am in no way being sarcastic. Go to the movie to watch the movie. Go to the lobby, or bathroom at least, to text. Is that too much to ask?

WAY TO GO, ALAMO!!!

(As if they really need the business of that little *$#@ and her scummy friends! Boo HOO!) Every time I go there -- an average of about once a month -- the theater is AT LEAST 50% full, which is more than the average "regular" theaters has been recently, in my experience.)

Lesson learned

If that is a serious question--

First, the light is distracting; and, secondly, seeing someone's fingers type in that light just makes it that much worse.

Unless you can do it with your screen light off ... otherwise think about it.

Some jerk texting back in forth in your field of view is distracting. I say IS, because I've been there, in that seat, behind you.

That's stupid. Anyways, I hate when I go out and my friends are just on their phones and I can't even talk to them. It sucks. Stupid generation.

this is why I don't go to the movies unless I'm getting paid for it for my job.

I don't understand why no one seems to go to watch the 'movie' anymore. Maybe that's because, for the most part, they are nothing like they once were.



Once in a while a small theater will show one of these classics, and I can tell you this — You'd never even know there was a cell phone there. It's not even a 'rule', it just happens.
