I wouldn't drink it either. I don't drink tap water anyway. Terrible old plumbing, fluoride, awful things in tap water.

We had white slurry air just a while back ... Felt colder with something weird and the cats acted like walking maze cavias passing eachother at the wimdow and door

Girlfriend is flushing the stystem. Instructions were to turn hot water on (all lines) for 15 min. Then cold water for 5. She said the licorice smell from the chemical is super strong! Oh, Erin Brokovich is in town too ...

Yeah, I saw that Erin Brokovich was going to be at a town hall meeting on WSAZ news.

I've seen some Facebook posts about FEMA passing out water and all the water is from Nestle, saying some are scared of that water due to possible vaccinations in the water being forced???

All kinds of water with different names is being handed out. on a funny note, one of them was called "Nuts on Clark"

They were supposed to open tomorrow but that has since changed. Not sure when they'll reopen.

If anything positive has came from this , it is that I've got a small..albeit very small, taste of what it would be like to be stuck in even a small city without drinkable water. The community here did very well, all things considered, but I can only imagine a large inner city in a place much different than this small "country" town where people are more capable to take care of themselves, or are able to visit relatives seemingly close by that have all they need. New York, Chicago, Atlanta, L.A. ?? It would be a complete disaster!!! I'm very fortunate to work and live in here.

I'll never drink or cook with it again. I'll buy bottled water in bulk. Plus my family has access to well water a short distance from here. It would be soooo easy for a terrorist to poison the water supply at probably any place in the country.

Damn. So sorry for everyone there, not easy to live that way. I am part of a group that meets every three months and we vote on which local organization to donate a certain amount of money to.

This last time it was for a non profit law center, pretty much one guy who is an Erin Brockovitch type, works on a shoestring, fighting this big uranium company that wants to mine on Native American land. Using a method that has ALWAYS polluted the local water. He's been battling them for 17 years.

Why do all firemen want everyone to know they are firemen? License plates, stickers, every shirt they own, nicknames on forums. Its a job

Maybe this will serve to teach people to keep at least a few days of potable water on hand. More importantly, people need to keep a good water filter stocked and ready to rock. This emergency was only a few days and all of the pipes pumps and power were fine. They just had to flush out a contaminate. I shudder to think what will happen when the power goes out and the water shuts down for a prolonged period.

It's not just a job, it's a way of life. Putting your own life on the line to save others. You wouldn't understand such things nor appreciate the risks they take would you.
