LAND BATTLE UPDATE: The Disputed Frank Meyers Farm is Now 'Occupied' !

The (very) short story is that this 85 year old man's land has been expropriated for the expansion of CFB Trenton for a JFT2 training facility and he has been fighting it HARD.

Monday began with two bulldozers showing up to level all the outbuildings. Frank put his tractor, with him in it, in their way. Shortly after that, people in support of Frank started showing up, and they just kept coming. Another person blocked the drive with an RV and the media joined the party.

Up until today, the group of supporters that had stayed the night had paid heed to the warnings and not ventured onto the disputed land. This afternoon, they breached the property boundary and have now made camp. There's just a mere handful of them, and maybe they will all be arrested, but I applaud them for their diligence.

Frank also called and has repeatedly asked for actual documentation that states this land is no longer his. Additionally he served the bulldozer operators a cease and desist order and currently has them at bay on the edge of the disputed property.

I don't know what will happen from here ...
