It collects data about personal and private activities in the home and transmits that data to strangers without consent of the property owner. That is unlawful surveillance according to United States Code Title 18 Wiretapping. That is not propaganda, alarmist or conspiracy theory, that is fact. Love is like light. Too old to care
User ID: 46255310 United States 01/15/2014 12:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The electric company installed it one day while I was out. Then I noticed that the new meter had been replaced with another new one. This was not our primary residence for some time. I lost some things and put up cam's. I caught pictures of this lady in a unmarked truck a couple of times. Not a random visit, I made sure to be home on a day either side of the questionable time frame. Caught her in the act and buzzed the dogs door open. I called back the dogs and asked what she was doing in my drive and she told me that I was not the only one who she had to visit but that it was a rarity. A couple of weeks later a plugged in large appliance and it acted up and I started at the outlet to bug out why. The receptacle, hot side, lug was loose and almost burned through. I think it had been that way for some time with only a small load on it. That is when I realized why the meter wasn't able to transmit and why they put in the second meter. Changing out the meter didn't fix it. Bzzzzzzzzzzz Apparently it doesn't take much of a "spark gap" to interfere with it's function. No more lady in a truck. After meeting me and the dogs I bet she was happy to see me off her route. Too old to care, but I do. |
