Not only is it in the same league with the others, but it encourages people to shoot before the "criminal" breaks into the house. Not a good idea. If the commercial was "true life", the end of the commercial would have that woman wearing an orange jumpsuit that read "INMATE" on the back of it and we would see her she whiling away her youth in the crowbar hotel. Thanks for trying though. You're a dumbass from a dumbass state. In Indiana you'd be covered by A) the call. B) the security/automation system hack. C) the knife. So, go back to your liberal dream and suck you thumb while the cops come. You made me laugh with your jailhouse lawyer shtick. The libs are victims of their own fear - they are afraid of guns, and especially conservatives with guns. Therefore they are always looking for new ways to make gun ownership and carry more difficult and less common. Their goal is "the extinction of the gun", plain and simple. Plus, as someone else mentioned, since then, gun sales have gone up, and violent crime has gone down. Yesterday will go down in history. NEW YORK became the largest chapter of the NRA. Compliments, I mean complaints of Gov Cuomo- a presidential wanna be. Since the unsafe S.A.F.E. Act began in 2013 the NRA has gotten over 20,000 new members in NEW YORK. LOL Now they have 43,000 members. haha |

User ID: 974819 United States 02/05/2014 04:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some stats for you guys. I will provide some links also. Quoting: *Evan 1) Between 1.5-2.5 million crimes are stopped each year by legal gun owners. 2) 200,000 women stop a sexual attack with a gun each year. 3) Only 8% of those crimes stopped by gun, actually required a criminal to be shot. Most were scared away by the sight of the gun. 4) About 2% of the criminals shot by legal gunowners were a case of mistaken identity, and an innocent was shot. Compare that to 11% of police shootings resulting in an innocent being shot due to mistaken identity. 5) In 2010 almost 2/3 of gun deaths in America were by suicide. 6) The vast majority of homicides by firearm are done in poor urban areas usually associated with gang violence. Not by legal gunowners. 7) In 2010 there were 11,000 homicides by firearm. 90% of those were gang members shooting other gang members. So I think the stats speak for themselves. Guns help stop more violence than they create. Plus when there is gun violence, the majority is gang members killing other gang members. Not legal gun owners. [link to www.gunowners.org (secure)] [link to en.wikipedia.org] [link to en.wikipedia.org] Exactly so. Good post |

The Indiana jailhouse lawyer was WAY off the mark, but that's what happens when a person can't think well. The video shows 1. She gets a phone call from some unknown person. 2. Her electricity goes out 3. Somebody is at her door. and the jailhouse lawyer thinks that adds up to a legal justification to shoot? Of course he does, but the law says otherwise. 1. where is the proof that the woman KNEW the guy she shot was the guy who called her? 2. power outages happen all of the time. how does that justify shooting somebody OUTSIDE your house when you are LOCKED INSIDE the house? 3. since she did not know who the guy was or why he was there, where is the justification to shoot? he had not broken in. she did not try to find out who he was or what he wanted. she KNEW NOTHING except the guy was trying to open the door. but why was he trying? was he drunk and at the wrong house where his friends live? The Indiana jailhouse lawyer spoke nonsense. This was in the news recently Police Officer Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Unarmed Man Who Had Just Survived A Car Accident! |

Sure, a lot of wanna be rapists and thugs would die in the first year. But I see that as a benefit to society. An armed society would be a polite society, and no longer would women be afraid to walk around after dark. |
