I have been sitting here with my morning coffee, and I can't help but think about what a strange day we live in today. The very fact that 2/3 of the biggest countries in the world are constantly worried about an attack at large events such as the Olympics. The lengths that countries and big money will take to ensure security. The markets showing signs of worry. Rumors of war at every corner. Fukishima disaster continues to loom. The old expectations and standards of Liberty and Freedom being replaced with Security and Safety. All of it - is it really possible that this is co-incidence? This is a downtrend in some ways, and an uptrend in other ways that produce less quality of life. On one hand the world of today carries such deep issues, and on the other hand often there is such great technology, art and historical value in the world we live in. Where do you all feel this is going? And why has it taken until now for people like me to actually soak this in and realize when it's been in our face the entire time? |

Thank you all so far for your answers as I believe that this is an general subject that deserves more discussion and re-evaluation in the new year. I realize that it is entirely possible that all of the events listed were not related, but as crazy as it sounds it all seems to carry with it a certain "Aura" |
