precisely that's what i want to discuss with everyone

aren't you sick and tiered from getting hurt from people under the name of love ?

i'm talking about the materialistic possessive love, its more like a disease where it becomes like an obsession and burn everything on it way

if i started this thread is to differentiate between that kind of love and the celestial kind of love which is agape

Love is like a potato,
It can be comforting and nourishing,
Or it can be expelled out of a PVC tube at 600 feet per second and cause severe injury or death.

Re: daily meditations
It is because of the absence of love that one learns of the importance of it.

There is too little love in everything we do.

In the twenty first century, love is taboo, forbidden, and unknown by many.

Yet love is the answer to all of our problems. Because love causes people to cooperate.

Love combined with understanding is a very powerful thing.

All of this is why its so important to keep trying to love, even when it seems impossible.

Re: daily meditations

My heart has become able
To take on all forms.
It is a pasture for gazelles,
For monks an abbey.

It is a temple for idols
And for whoever circumambulates it, the Kaaba.
It is the tablets of the Torah
And also the leaves of the Koran.

I believe in the religion
Of Love
Whatever direction its caravans may take,
For love is my religion and my faith.

Re: daily meditations
personal love is the common love that everybody knows, it starts nice and smooth then it robs you of your essence and leave you cold and lonely

this is material sensual love where a person satisfy his personal desires, he become dependent on the object of his love and can't find happiness or peace without it.

all books and sciences talk about this kind of love and i think we all know it and should be careful to taste it in homeopathic doses
 Quoting: Fellow Of The Rose

I have thought on being "co dependent" as you put it here.

I feel myself so in love with "her", yet just yesterday felt so alone, so lonely without her by my side as has been for so long now.

I wondered on the man I was when i met her, so lost in the world, knowing little more than consumerism, fake smiles and laughter, independence, singularity.

I wonder on the Man I wish to be, to be a Man yet be gentile, loving caring, perhaps needing.

Hard to see how the two could exist one inside the other, shades of grey.

Yet love, is it not both giving and receiving, each as they need so shall they give, I lend her my strength when she needs such, her hers as I.

I find often people love themselves more than even nature itself, I loving nature, give by picking up their litter. Is that not love.

Is pain love, one needs pain as a teacher, a warning, a method of learning, and in such is love.

Please enlighten us, what is love. I seem so lost, it seems all encompassing to me.

Re: daily meditations
when you wake up in the morning , and several times during the day, think of the universal soul as a diapason to which you must tune yourself. by doing so you will gradually enter into cosmic harmony. until you decide to do this work of adjustment, you will be like instruments that are out of tune.

you will think: 'its humiliating to have to conform endlessly to norms!' No,
true spiritualists are never ashamed about wanting their thoughts, feelings and actions to conform to the divine diapason. and they are not concerned if others think their refusal to express their independence of mind shows a lack of dignity and pride. in what many call pride and independence, initiates see only weakness, and in what others call weakness they see strength.

to have true dignity is to bow before the laws of universal harmony

Re: daily meditations
you can be abandoned by everyone, and you can lose everything-exept yourself.
so why not look there, within you, where your only real possession, your only real certainty, can be found?

whether you are on earth or in the other world you will never be separated from yourself.

to remain master of every situation, you all have at your disposal something that cannot be taken from you by anyone or anything. and this something is yourself.

in life and in death, throughout eternity, you will be with yourself. yes you can be sure of that. everything else may slip away from you. and this "self" which nothing can take away from you is your awareness of yourself as a divine spark, thus your awareness of the capacities you have received from the creator and the opportunities you are given daily to put them to work.

Re: daily meditations
when the spiritual life brings you moments of peace, joy and wonder, you must not keep them for yourself.

devote at least a few minutes to sharing something of these privileges states by means of your thoughts.

think of all the beings in the world who are in anguish and despair.

focus your thoughts on them and say : dear brothers and sisters throughout the world, what i posses is so beautiful so luminous, that i want to share it with you.
receive some of this beauty, take some of this light.

since you know that your state of mind generates waves that spread out into the world, do not keep your happiness for yourself; share it with others.

not only will you be doing them something good, you will amplify these states in yourself. yes, this is a magical phenomenon. the best way to hold on to your joy is to share it

Re: daily meditations
Tell yourself that all human beings are your brothers and sisters, and if you learn to accept them, with their weaknesses, their shortcomings and the difficulties they create for you, you will attract the benevolence and support of heavenly beings. Never be like those people who turn away from others on the pretext that they are inferior. Such ignorant people do not know that when they do this they are transgressing the law of exchange and that, as a consequence, the divine world will refuse to make exchanges with them.
It is up to each one of us to find out how to establish true contact with others. May scientists be happy to give their knowledge and the wise to give their light, and may those who receive them be delighted to have been taught and enlightened! May the strong be happy to support the weak and the rich to help the poor, and may the weak and the poor be grateful to feel they have been helped! All those who refuse to allow their wealth to circulate, in whatever sphere, are like stagnant water. They will never discover the meaning of life, for life can only be found in free circulation and exchanges.

Re: daily meditations
"Every one of your gestures is significant, because your character, intelligence, aesthetic sense and education are revealed in everything you do. Someone will say: 'Oh, but I only sweep and wash floors.' So? That too is significant, because you still have to think and be careful when you sweep up or wash the floor. You reveal your qualities simply by the way you go about getting started. To sweep up properly you have to follow a certain process and take certain steps so that you do not raise clouds of dust. You will say you use a vacuum cleaner. Alright, but in fact even with a vacuum cleaner there are things to look out for. You need to take care that you do not go over the same area several times and miss others, you must be careful not to knock into the furniture and not to get the wire caught around the leg of a chair, and so on.

Nothing, no task can be done without care and attention. Whatever the task, be it physical or mental, the first thing you always have to do is to decide how to organize it, in what order to do things. This is what is referred to as a good method of working. So, observe yourself, and whatever the task at hand, think about the way in which you will prepare for it and carry it out."

Re: daily meditations
Even the best responsibilities can be overwhelming if you are not quite capable of assuming them. If your brain is not prepared to withstand the weight of knowledge, it will give way beneath it. Therefore, instead of constantly wishing for knowledge, wish for light, because light is not heavy: it is above knowledge, and it brings you knowledge as well. As the sun shines on objects, in the same way, the rays of light that you, yourself, project with your spirit, light up objects of the invisible world. This is how you can progressively explore the psychic world, while also giving the brain time to become stronger. Whereas, if the brain suddenly has to receive a great quantity of facts, it will collapse, just as a floor would collapse if it had too much weight on it."

Re: daily meditations
The whole of civilization is nothing other than work on matter. But there are different kinds of matter, and the work humans do on external materials they can also do on their own psychic matter. All their instincts, desires, feelings and thoughts represent a substance which they have to work on intensely in order to purify and develop it. From one point of view you could say this is a creative work similar to artistic creation, since it obeys the same laws.
The true work of creation is spiritual work, because it concerns the whole of our being. We project ourselves as high as possible to find an order, a structure, and to capture the purest particles, which will become part of the substance of our different bodies: our spiritual bodies, our psychic bodies and our physical body too. We must make this effort every moment of every day. Each day we add a more vibrant colour, a subtler form, a more harmonious sound. »

Re: daily meditations
Even though it is essential for children and adolescents to study and gain qualifications, it has to be said that the formation of character is more important than the development of the intellect. For the most important thing is living, not being a doctor, lawyer, engineer or economist. And in order to live and face all the conditions of life, it is important to work on one’s character. Education is one thing and upbringing is another. More than scholarly teachers, the young need educators who will show them what life is and how they should live it, so that the strengths, qualities and gifts they possess may be expressed to the full.
So long as the emphasis is placed not on formation of character but solely on the development of the intellect, the knowledge passed on to young people in schools and universities will be used only for personal success, and this success will often be achieved at the expense of others. But if they are also taught to work on their character and not to try to use their knowledge for their own interest, you will see beings emerge who are capable of advancing a whole society. »

Re: daily meditations
It is difficult to express an opinion categorically on either good or evil. Why? Because nothing on earth is either completely good or completely bad. There are drawbacks to even the best things. How can we not be delighted at the arrival of spring? Everything flourishes in the light and warmth; it’s wonderful. Ah, but… harmful insects flourish too: wasps, flies, caterpillars, greenfly, mosquitoes… And is technical progress good or bad? How many discoveries that began by bringing huge improvements to people’s lives ended disastrously, because those who made them were not capable of being careful and clear-sighted and did not think of the consequences! I don’t need to give you lots of examples; you can see them every day.
So, whatever the events or conditions, there are always precautions that need to be taken. For the ignorant, even the best things can turn bad, because they are not ready to face them. Whereas, those who reflect and have learned how to work manage to put even the greatest difficulties to good use. »

Re: daily meditations
Two people may never have touched each other even with their fingertips, and yet they feel a powerful, indestructible link between them. Nothing and no one can separate them. Despite walls, mountains and oceans, they are together, because their love goes beyond the limitations of the physical plane.
You will no doubt have noticed that when you feel the subtle presence of a loved one, you do not necessarily need their physical presence to feel you are with them. If you strongly feel that you need their physical presence, it means you are moving out of your inner world, and then you are likely to meet with great suffering. For who is to say circumstances will not some day deprive you of the person you love? But if you feel their presence inside, outer circumstances will have less hold over you. This is a criterion: if you feel as much joy thinking of the person as when you see them, you are free, and this joy will never leave you.

Re: daily meditations
Those who succeed in offloading tasks onto others that they themselves should carry out may on the face of it gain something, but they lose a lot more. In every situation where they should be the ones making an effort, if they do not do so, physically or psychologically, they are likely to grow weaker. And they become more and more vulnerable: those who do not exercise their faculties lose them, while those who adopt the philosophy of effort learn to tame their will and become stronger. Each day they discover inner potential they were not aware they had, bringing them joy that nothing and no one can take from them.
Believe me, the philosophy of effort shows us that joy resides in the effort itself. This is why you must not offload responsibilities onto others that you yourself should take on, and if possible do the work without their help. And furthermore, you should not wait until you are compelled to make efforts, but rather make them anyway.

Satisfactions - do not seek them on the physical plane

"Without always being aware of it, human beings tend to seek most of their satisfactions on the material plane, which renders them egotistical, unjust, dishonest and even criminal. For an increase in salary, a higher position, a greater share in the market, or a social invitation, they embark on intrigues and agree to all kinds of compromises. Even if they attain their ends, what do these successes actually bring them? So many of them, once their desires are fulfilled, feel even more dissatisfied! They have wronged others, and not only are they themselves no happier, but in their heart and soul they have lost elements which are infinitely precious. Is this really worthwhile?"

Re: daily meditations
In the face of some human destinies, you may be tempted to say to yourself that such lifetimes make no sense. These people had the possibility to learn, to understand, to do something useful, but they seem to have learned nothing, understood nothing and done nothing, except make mistakes! Was there any point in their being alive? Well, that is very faulty reasoning. A person’s present lifetime is just one link in a long chain. If we are to understand what any man or woman is living during any one of their incarnations, it is important not to consider that incarnation in isolation, but to link it to all their past incarnations over centuries and millennia and, at the same time, to know that this lifetime will continue into the future.
We are always mistaken about the meaning we assign to the present, if we do not see it as part of a continuum stretching from the distant past to an even more distant future. When we do not know what meaning to attribute to someone’s life, we should not say there is none; whoever they may be, we have no right to judge. Every life has meaning, and rather than giving our opinion on the lives of others, every one of us must try to bring more and more meaning to our own life in order to prepare our future. »

Re: daily meditations
Suffering is unpleasant, and it is natural to want to put an end to it immediately in whatever way you can. However, there are circumstances where it would be better not to always run away from suffering but instead to try to draw strength from it for a new life. For one of the properties of suffering is that it awakens qualities in human beings that would never appear in other conditions. This is why, when you are suffering physically or psychologically, tell yourself you have been given an opportunity to work intensely on yourself.
Obviously, I am speaking here not of the unbearable pain that requires medication but of the general feeling of discomfort that so frequently occurs in daily life. Instead of trying to relieve it or forget it by using pills or other substances, it is better to take advantage of these obstacles to get down to work and become inwardly stronger. You will achieve this by not remaining focused on your suffering but using your mind to try to harmonize everything in your physical, astral and mental bodies. When this work is complete, you will often notice that your suffering has disappeared, precisely because the mental work you have done has succeeded in bringing harmony into your whole being. »

When spring arrives, we start to find nourishment in the rays of the rising sun, for light is the best of foods. And the pure air, the awakening earth, the surrounding trees, also nourish us, if we know how to cook them… Yes, cook them! With our thoughts and our love we can make delicious dishes from all these elements.
Spiritual life is a kind of nutrition. It is the art of turning everything we receive from outside into wisdom, kindness, power and peace. We contribute to this change by first and foremost giving all our attention to the rising sun. Then, each time we come back to our daily activities, we feel replete, stronger and richer. Yes, richer, because the sunlight we have received is gold, etheric gold, and this gold is worth more than all the gold bars piled up in banks, for it brings us life.

‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.’ To interpret Jesus’ words correctly, you must be truly discerning and very broad-minded. Otherwise, it is all too easy to say that all those who bring new insight to help humanity progress are false prophets! In reality, God has never stopped sending his sons to earth. So, the Church doesn’t want to recognize them? Well, so be it! That will not prevent God – who need not take account of the Church’s views – from still sending great beings, bearers of love and light. How sad to be so narrow-minded as to think that none of the great founders of religion, either before Jesus or since, has been able to bring true light to human beings, and that no one ever will again!
God is love, and because he is love he has always sent his children prophets, initiates and great Masters who made the sacrifice of renouncing the joys of Paradise to come down and help them. He will send still more, and, as Jesus said, it is by their fruits that you will know them."

Re: daily meditations
Imagine someone rushing headlong into action without first having studied the project they want to carry out, with the inevitable result that they come up against obstacles. They are then unhappy and complain about it, and it’s not until they have had a good moan that they finally think about why they failed. It is obviously a bit late; they should have thought about it first. But we can at least hope that their failure will encourage them to do better next time.
Think, feel and act: that is the order that should preside at every undertaking. That is how the wise proceed: they begin by reflecting, by considering all the elements involved in carrying out the work or resolving the problem at hand; then they introduce feeling, in other words, a liking, an interest, a love for the task they wish to carry out. Finally, they decide to set to work to put their plan into action, and they do not abandon it along the way. So, we can say that what the wise first conceive of in their mind they reinforce and give life to with their feelings and finally put into action thanks to an unfailing will. »

Re: daily meditations
The material world and the spiritual world each offer us their riches; in neither case is it easy to acquire them, but the difficulties you experience will depend on which kind you are seeking.
Those whose focus is material success, possessions, money or power but who do not achieve their aims feel their failure bitterly: not having obtained what they were hoping for, they feel frustrated, and often they bear a grudge against those who have succeeded where they themselves failed. Those who cherish spiritual needs, on the other hand, always feel supported, as if they were filled with a light that never leaves them. By aspiring to a higher life, they continually forge links with the divine world, and these links produce hidden vibrations within them. Even if they do not manage to fulfil all their aspirations, even if they feel so very small when faced with the immensity of their ideal, the powerful vibrations that animate their deeper being save them from being discouraged. This ideal is like a light that shows them the goal they have to reach and at the same time lights their way. And despite the obstacles, they feel that with every day they are growing closer to their heavenly homeland.

Re: daily meditations
So many people say they are seeking the truth! While they may feel sorry they have not yet found it, they also feel proud they have embarked on such a difficult quest. Well, no, truth is not that difficult to find and can even be defined very simply. Let’s say it is like a disc, one face of which is love, the other wisdom. If you look for truth independently of love and wisdom, in other words, without developing the heart and mind, you will never find it. But as soon as you have love and wisdom, you also possess truth, even if you are not looking for it. You will never find truth as a principle alone: it exists only in those who know how to work with both heart and mind.
If, at the moment, there are so many different, contradictory and conflicting truths in circulation throughout the world, it is because they reflect the distortions in human hearts and minds. Someone may say to you, ‘That’s the truth!’, when in reality it is their truth, and this truth is the expression of their own heart and mind, which could be either weak and deformed or robust and enlightened. »
