Greek defense minister to visit Moscow

Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos said Tuesday he had been invited to Moscow to meet his Russian counterpart, Sergey Shoigu, in the near future, Reuters reported. Kammenos is the leader of the right-wing junior coalition partner in Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' new government. The Greek minister had discussed strategic cooperation with the Russian ambassador and had received an invitation to Moscow. Kammenos had also met the US ambassador to Greece to discuss issues including training and procurement, saying that Greece would continue cooperation within NATO.
