Former general: Forget the sword; Jesus will return with an AR-15

For those of us in europe and uk who are none carrying. What is an ar.15?
If its a kinda gun. We won't have access
Does this make us non christian and thus an infidel?
If we happen to get hold of one then what will we be?
A muslim?
A christian?
An american?

By "sword" the Bible referes to Jesus speaking "His tongue".

This often bandied about verse was actually spoken by Jesus with the intention of addressing the immediate context in which it was spoken and NOTHING MORE.

He and his followers, some of whom were always armed and he never had a problem with before, were at the moment hopelessly outnumbered. Jesus knew it. He also knew how loyal and passionate they were and that he had to say something to keep them from getting killed.

The world continues to gravely misjudge the majority of believers at their own peril.

Patience and tolerance are not endless qualities that Christians must continue to exhibit in the shadow of oppression and violence simply because the enemies of Christianity think it and believe it.

Sorry guys, but I have met General Boykins and he is a wonderful and very violent military man and general. But he is very wrong on this one. When Jesus returns, He is going to speak the Word, and a huge and gigantic spiritual sword will come out of His mouth, and slay thousands at a time. And there is no human and military weapon that will be needed. And then His mighty angels will be doing the same things. And then those of us who are with Him and His great and p0werful army will be doing the same things. And then the beast and the antichrist and all of their followers will be cut to pieces and taken to heaven, where they will be standing before the Almighty Father Creator God. And then they will be judged and sentenced and thrown into the great lake of fire and brimstone. As their brains and mouths and lungs will be full of fire and brimstone, forever and ever and ever!!

So...Xtians are gonna rise up against everyone that is not of their mindset and become the oppressors?

Jesus was telling people to arm themselves and then He was telling people to use restraint, which is wise.

Never forget that Jesus is sending MOST people to HELL.

Nope, they send themselves to hell. The deeds called sins are obviously less than stellar behavior. Common sense, really, which is very uncommon these days.

People who qoute Jesus saying every one sell your coat for a sword missed it. Otherwise why did he stop them after buying 2 and told them that is enough. Since he stated everyone. His disciples missed it and so did those who want to kill.
