Breaking! Cell Phones from passengers on Malaysia Airlines ringing......!! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 55415903 United States 03/10/2014 04:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | phones will still ring if dead or broken. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1428203 the ringing is the switch from the carrier company you are connecting to, it's not the actual ring of the phone on the other end. if the service was interrupted or turned off, it would not ring, but that would need to happen at the carrier level. One of my phones is off right now, it goes right to voice mail. One of the cell phones of the people on the plane picked up, then was cut off. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 54910627 United States 03/10/2014 04:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I feel so sad for the families, desperate for any glimmer of hope. But : "... a Chinese family has successfully dialed and rang the mobile cell phone of a passenger on board the Malaysia Airlines plane MH370. "... Today, the brother of a man who is listed on the missing airplane's manifest demonstrated for Chinese television that he could dial his sibling's mobile phone, which was with him on the plane, and that the call was connected and rang several times indicating the phone is working, turned on and able to be answered somewhere." When you call a cell phone number, and you hear the ring sound, it doesn't mean that the phone is on and ringing. You've connected to the phone company's system is all it means. So sorry to say it. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55424944 those people have good batteries in their cell phones. My sons galaxy 4 goes easily for 2 days and he's texting or listening to music the whole time... My mom's cheap trac phone stays on for almost a week on standby... My iPhone lasts quite a bit if it's just on standby but that's rare so don't know how long! Not outlandish to me... Very bizarre though... Last Edited by Bright Side on 03/10/2014 04:56 PM Life is a spiritual war and no matter where we lay our head, we live in a warzone. There will be casualties.
