It's not about some "feel warm and fuzzy" campaign of "can't we all just get along". Even the most fair and tolerant people HAVE to acknowledge that there's an overall agenda . . . from gay rights to no boundaries of personal appearance to interracial mingling. It's about making certain taboos perfectly "normal" and acceptable . . . to pave the way for legislating anything and everything as legal, normal and acceptable throughout all of American society. |

In America now, if you express your disapproval of something, you're instantly labeled a bigot, a racist, hateful, intolerant, etc. I think everyone should have a degree of tolerance, but it's something else altogether to be forced to accept certain beliefs and lifestyles as normal and "wholesome". Tolerance in America is not a two-way street. You are expected to either go along with the majority/special interest mindset & agenda OR you're labeled and despised. I'm tolerant, sensible, and fair . . . but no one is going to convince me that same-sex unions should be accepted as perfectly normal, that getting head to toe tats is a rational act, and that breeding of contrary races/cultures is a good thing. And NONE of those things will ever be considered, imo, "wholesome". |

User ID: 40337870 United States 03/17/2014 01:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think what bothers me is that it is not enough that a person tolerates or even simply accepts; in order to be a "good" person, they want us to stand up and applaud behaviors that we simply do not agree with. It should be enough that I accept your decisions and leave each person to live their own life. I should not have to applaud, not should I have to give up my personal beliefs of right and wrong or even simply good, better, best. violet |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 12680882 United States 03/17/2014 01:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The ad starts will homosexual males bottle feeding a baby and then pushing it in a stroller. Then a interracial couple is shown (black female , white male). The ad ends saying blah blah wholesome blah blah while showing pics of the homosexual `family' and interracial family. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 55618332 United States 03/17/2014 01:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Showing dignity to many different types of families is an honorable thing to do, and is a sign that our society as a whole is moving in the right direction-- away from hatred of other people and toward truly embracing others who may not be like ourselves. Gee, if that's "indoctrination," then I'm okay with that far moreso that I'd ever be caught dead buying into the indoctrination of hate and bigotry I'm seeing here right now. Get over yourselves, people. Learn to see beyond your own living rooms and notice that there are people who are different than you out there. Then celebrate it, because they're beautiful. |

Quoting: just wondering It should be enough that I accept your decisions and leave each person to live their own life. I should not have to applaud, not should I have to give up my personal beliefs of right and wrong or even simply good, better, best. THIS ^ That's what I'm saying . . . these "agendas" that are being promulgated throughout America are NOT about tolerance. It's about promoting and enforcing belief systems and lifestyles upon the mindset of an entire populace. My thought is that if a person is gay, be gay but be quiet and private about it. NO ONE needs to know that you're gay. You don't have to shout it, march in a parade, advertise it, OR force anyone else to like it or accept it. |
