I ran the code through a program last night, it didn't give me anything to go on but it did say based on the number of characters the key is likely 85 characters long.

I was looking at it as a word search last night and kept finding "me lie" "me know" etc.

I've been wondering about the me tell u thread and the code for a few days.

I've tried all but two, so far just more jumbled letters. It gives you the option of running without the key and offers a ton of options for what the key could be and runs them with results, that's where I found the 85 thing.

The site says this about keys, through.
"Then we further rank the "strength" of these best guesses. A guess is considered "stronger" if it contains a word from the English dictionary. After all, a key is most likely going to be an actual word or multiple words. A guess is considered even stronger if it contains special geocaching terms like "cache." The best of the best guesses rank higher and are displayed higher on the list."

I think in our case, geocaching terms would need to be replaced with terms that relate the the site and what it could be warning about.





Also, I mentioned this last night - MAR is also an anagram for mid-air retrieval.

I have wondered this as well.

Clearly the letters are necessary. I mean why would you shorten a word as short as March (if it was the month) and lengthen a digit like 15 by spelling it out?

running different things I came up with (cipher 4 square used text plus the 75 character as keyword normal and as second key reversed))

Good thinking with this. Letter only combinations with all words backwards and forwards.

No worries, I just thought since we had been discussing relation to the plane that it might be relevant. I don't think it's March 15, though, since that date's come and gone.

I just started messing with it, it asks you to put in the text then talks about letter frequency, then allows you to click on the different frequencies and then it has you line up other parts.

The letters are just as simple as a paragraph but writing in many different languages so we ALL have to come together and solve it in many languages...

Just like the title seems to be writing in other languages.

I googled and it ended up being a social experiment.

Do we still think it could be the Mid-Atlantic Ridge? I remember in the beginning that was the consensus, but then the pointer was placed over Alaska. I'm not great at geography, but aren't they in different places?

Mesoamerican region, think Maya. I saw on another thread that a guy named Kevin Carrigan ( [link to twitter.com (secure)] ) wrote a book called "The Last Election." It talked about the Maya and I think it was a doomsy type book. I know part of it takes place in La Costa Maya, Mexico.


Maybe he is planning a new book happening around the Alaskan pyramid and this is how he's marketing it?

Good question! Why shorten March to Mar, then spell out 15 in letter format. I too am thinking this is not a date (especially since the counter ended on the 20th I believe).

I did some reading and the only thing I can find significant on the word "fifteen" is that it isn't spelled out intentionally in Jewish due to it replicates a...(I admit, I kind of got lost here)...God's name maybe. Anyway, they don't spell it out in letter format. So, we can surmise that the coder is not Jewish :)

Has anyone tried Mar Fifteen or a variation thereof as an encryption key?

Again someone mentions pgp gpg, another mentions the use of the Russian word for key (as in keyboard) vs key (as in door).

Lucy's comments got me thinking and since you all are tearing up the code so well already, I decided to go off on a tangent :)

I did some Googling and after a few results into it, I saw that there has been a lot of turmoil in Morocco (Mar) recently...an uprising of sorts. On the 18th, fifteen people were killed.

So how does this relate? (if it does at all)...

On March 13th (the day thelastelection14.com was registered) a new US ambassador was appointed to Morocco. Also, on the 13th, an article was published about the relationship between the USA and Morocco:

Morocco is the only African country to have signed a FTA with the United States. This FTA has been described by the State department as “one of the United States’ most comprehensive free trade agreements” which eliminated tariffs on 95 percent of traded goods and bolstered trade and investment between the two countries, resulting in two-way trade valued at $3.79 billion in 2011. During the time the counter was winding down, this violent uprising took place. Fifteen people died (the news articles actually show the word fifteen in the results summaries). Then, the website changes and concludes with "Mar Fifteen". Could it be sort of a battle cry...in memory of the Mar Fifteen? I'll admit, I am not up on current events, but hasn't there been a lot of controversy recently over elections (moving dates around, protests, postponing elections all together) in Morocco? (think Arab Spring...which involved most of the Middle East)

Finally, Morocco is centered on the non-text part of the map shown on thelastelection14.com.

Okay I am no code breaker and you guys might have more experience than me but I had an idea and thought what if it is a message in multiple languages. What I mean is if you take it and translate back and forth the letters change here and there so I know there was something about a message in Russian and it had to be translated. I know this means little but I think it's interesting I took the first line and messed around in google translation and an example is from English to basque it's looks like this

Now the word batek appears where part of ready in English is but if you go back and take batek and go basque to English it translates as one.

Idk just a thought. It would mean all are holding the key in a way.

So we must now look at this is if the text is not the encrypted data, but it is the key itself. Possibly to an insurance file like the wikileaks encrypted files that were already released? Probably not, but maybe something along those lines.

This is fascinating, Louve. I do see the connections you're making. I wonder if we can translate it to Moroccan maybe?

Or what if the "Tell everone back home" needs to be translated to Moroccan then used as a key for the code in Moroccan?

The only problem with this is that I really strongly feel that Russian has a significant role to play in this puzzle. I'm just not sure quite how yet. But there are too many coincidences to ignore.

I agree with you...and I feel the USA is part of all this too of course (based on the original site).

For what it's worth, I read that Morocco is Russia's largest trading partner in the Arab world. I wonder how the US-EU trade sanctions play a part? (if any)
