H5N6? spread from poultry on farms and in markets to humans.

Given enough infections, and the roll of the genetic dice it very well may become able to produce sustained H2H transmission. The cases that have been observed have had pretty nasty outcomes, high death rate and many complications of the patients, many of whom are children to young adults.

I see a couple threads mentioning new Ebola vaccines being offered in US.

Are there some news releases to document this?

Will there be a problem with "shedding"?

One more H5N6 case for those who may be following the Avian Flu variants...My best guess for the next pandemic.

The case involves a 50-year-old man who lives in Xiangxi, Hunan. The patient developed symptoms on May 23 and was admitted to a local hospital on May 28. He is now in a critical condition.

Texas man fighting to keep leg after flesh-eating bacteria got him. Apparently contracted while swimming.

SECOND case in a week in that area.

Bacteria is vibrio vulnificus. It is believed that it takes hold where there is a scratch in the skin.

This appears to be really bad and really fast. This guy is only 42 years old! Don't know who the first case is. Still, he should be in the prime for infection-fighting.
