Merck Announces FDA Approval for ERVEBO® (Ebola Zaire Vaccine, Live)


KENILWORTH, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Merck (NYSE:MRK), known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved ERVEBO® (Ebola Zaire Vaccine, Live) (pronounced er-VEE-boh) for the prevention of disease caused by Zaire ebolavirus in individuals 18 years of age and older. The duration of protection conferred by ERVEBO is unknown. ERVEBO does not protect against other species of Ebolavirus or Marburgvirus. Effectiveness of the vaccine when administered concurrently with antiviral medication, immune globulin (IG), and/or blood or plasma transfusions is unknown. Do not administer ERVEBO to individuals with a history of a severe allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) to any component of the vaccine, including rice protein.

As previously announced, Merck is working to initiate manufacturing of licensed doses and expects these doses to start becoming available in approximately the third quarter of 2020. Merck is working closely with the U.S. government, WHO, UNICEF, and Gavi (the Vaccine Alliance) to plan for how eventual, licensed doses will support future public health preparedness and response efforts against Zaire ebolavirus disease.

During this transition period, Merck continues to work urgently with its partners to ensure uninterrupted access to the investigational Ebola Zaire vaccine (V920) in support of ongoing international response efforts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries. Merck has, to date, shipped more than 275,000 1.0mL doses of V920 based on requests by the WHO.

Merck has also made submissions to African country national regulatory authorities in collaboration with the African Vaccine Regulatory Forum (AVAREF), that will allow the vaccine to be registered in African countries considered to be at-risk for Ebola outbreaks by the WHO.

this is why i think there will be 3 waves when the disease gets here to the US. 1 is the wave you speak of where ppl can and are treated. the hospitals will hide the truth from their own staff toa void ppl not coming to the hoepistal all greed. durting this wave ppl can be treated.

the lack of honesty and informing the public,will lead to the outbreak spreading quickly. it will start with anyone the patient came into contact with before going to the hospital it will also double due to the hospitals covering it up.now the medical staff is infected and their families this means nurses,office ppl,orderlys,those who run tests,laundry,and the kitchen help. when their families get sick, do you think they will stick around to treat the 2nd wave?

as the second wave hits,the government will not b able to stop the news from getting out they will try to save face and say it is isolated to NYC,ATLANTA, or some other large city. before it is reported, it will already be wide spread. wave 2 will lead to the government trying to tell us to stay home and avoid crowds.with the internet and rate of information,those nurses who were lied to before will be warning us.the government will go from CYA to acting like they have it under control and are in front of it.they may have no choice but to impose ML at least in some large cities.

many ppl,even welfare ppl,have enough groceries to survive a couple weeks the boredom might get them thou. if the cell towers still work ppl will remain fairly calm during the 2nd wave. what happens to bored ppl once u let the loose? they will all need to shop for food and to go see if their buddies are o'k.now everyone has the disease. too many at once for a fully staffed medical system to handle.by now the hospital staff will be down to 75% max.in some places i doubt if will they be at half stafflet alone how bad off they will be with supplies.

phase 3 will wipe out 90% of the population of our country and possably the globe.full isolation and quaranteening anyone for 1 month minimum will b your only way to b sure you are safe. will countries do that? will they stoop all incoming traffic? will they force their own ppl to stay home that long?will tyey inform the public of the risks with sexual transmission?


NOTE the 1st wave can jump into the 2nd fast. the 2nd might blow into the 3rd without even being noticed. these waves can happen in weeks. we very possably are in the 1st wave NOW. there are rumors of outbreaks killing US citizens we are "TOLD" the ppl died elsewhere.

the only way you know you are in wave 2 is the media will report something it will be downplayed as always. it will be like no big deal.just a hiccup news report.notice they are reporting the measle #'2 all the time? that is prep so when something big happens you ignore it.that way you think" oh so what,this is there not here.nothing to get excited about". that is the prep the gov does for phase 2.

you willl know we are in wave 3 by the dead bodies. if you are still alive,it will b too late to b worried. wave 3 means the power went out,the water stopped running,internet and cell phones quit working,trucks are not moving goods.the gov is no longer in control or in charge this is the 1 ray of sunshine.since the gov is not in charge they can not dictate rules nor take taxes. anyone left alive will be completely free.
