Great article from science mag xtina! I had not yet heard of this report. It does sound alarm bells as pigs are rarely infected it allows the virus potential to mutate and again when it jumps from pig to human host. Definitely have to keep an eye on the region. Still going with H7N9 as the most likely threat. It has finally spread out of China to the West in Inner Mongolia, and continues to threaten Vietnam, with recent cases reported right by the border. Other areas are in near reach as well. Again as the virus spreads to new hosts mutation factor comes into account. Interesting times ahead given the unprecedented and record surge this fifth season. Also, over a dozen other strains will likely return in the fall to add to the mix...Stay safe my friends
