" WTF"Bank has to report anything over $100.00 now

I would be interested in seeing the actual regulation/law that requires that...and to know if it is a mandatory regulation or something certain banks are cooking up on their own.

I put a check in the bank last week and the lady asked me what it was for.
I said none of your damn business. A week later and I am still pissed. I may just close that account at USbank.

I cashed a $500 check last week. The teller was confused and needed to check something with another teller.

I got my money with no questions.

I took it as the teller was new and not sure how things work, but now I wonder if she was checking what reports need to be filed.

If anyone asks me I'll tell them its my weekend Hookers & Blow money.

I bank at an independent bank. I like it 10 times better than a big, national bank. I couldn't imagine them asking me why I needed money. I live in a small town and everyone knows each others business anyway.
