Like I said in a thread, some people are experts in their field so I go to them and I'm an expert in mine so they'll come to me if they own a restaurant.

I don't want to spend tons of money on crap that I don't eat daily anyways. I need good shelf life.

If people live for today only, is that my problem? I'm armed and not paying for their lack of concern for themselves. PLAN for the worst.

otherwise i buy Rice in 25kg bags, and wheat in 50kg bags.


and if shtf for real i have Rice and wheat in drums burried in the forrest, and there i plan to be untill the sheeple are done slaughtering.

The government has convinced people of their worth, once that's achieved, they determine your standard of living. If your living pay cheque to pay cheque and feel trapped, you need to make a change period. YOU HAVE TO!!!! I'm no pro, look at my drinking history, I'm trying hard to break free from my demons. Good for you! No one is saying you have to prepare for the end of the world. Having a store of food is good in case there is severe weather for a long time or power outages.

We've talked before about hunting, Ruffed Grouse, when my son got some. Peace of mind during the transition to gardening and hunting, fishing for survival is where my thoughts were. It takes time to adjust.

This is true, but have you ever purchased it?
I use it to feed my chickens and there is lots of stuff in there that isn't the corn or oats.
One would have to do a lot of sifting.

Did you try it yet? I have it sucks. Four meals is really about one meal and the meat is very small portions. It's a joke.

Take a look at the average calories per meal, very low.

Ya you spent some cash, but you can't eat money! You did the right thing...next time look into growing and canning yourself, as that is far more economically efficient, not to mention healthier.

Nothing is more important than food and water. What is your water situation? We have hundreds of MREs I shipped home over the past few years from Iraq and the Stan, about 3-4 months of canned/long-term storage foods and chickens and bunnies.

The thing we lacked was water. That was the last prep I focused on, but in hindsight should have been the first. Now we have hundreds of gallons stored, a gutter trap system and another source of thousands of gallons I cannot mention. Keep up the good work OP, peace of mind is priceless!
