Food prices are going through the roof, it's a good idea to encourage people right now.

You're a smart lady. In a disaster the food you purchased would be worth all the gold in the world. We're always told to buy gold. I say buy cans of ravioli. Most people have no idea what its like to be so hungry that you will do anything for food. I agree with the others about not telling anyone about your stash. In a time of great emergency and hunger you would be shot dead for your food.

This^^^^^ prepping is not just about storing food ( I do commend you though, because we all need to plan for the worst) It is also about personal safety and security in a time of crisis. You tell your neighbor you have food, and then they tell their uncles, cousins, friends and co workers. How do you plan to defend yourself and your family when a hungry mob is outside your door ?

Ya. Well honey some of us don't have the luxury of dumping $2500 on freeze dried food. I wish I did. But working 2 jobs, 7 days a week I'm lucky to be able to put back $40 a month and the way my car has been breaking down I'm ending up in the negative.
Just a little fyi... you DO know when you post a pic online from your cell or your camera unless you have a geotagging prog your coordinates are located directly to your house on that pic for anyone to watch you come and go as they choose thanks to satellite and they can break in and steal all those goods you so proudly display.... right?!

That's exactly how they robbed the guy on the travel channel. Please take better precautions because you might as well just have stuck a huge sign ouysign your home that says " I'm a prepper come take it all"

You're so right. I live close to my parents. If I have to I can easily walk to their house. They have food, propane and lots of guns. Noone has mentioned water. After the water catastrophe in my area my dad made a system to catch rain water on the roof. It drains down into two big trash cans. He also has a sanitizer to add to it. Of course you would boil it before drinking. Water is so important.

You are in really bad shape if you think that posting prep photos is going to get the feds or zombies to come calling.

I don't, but I believe end times are approaching us, (Israels age) This generation will not pass till all is fulfilled. I know the word, God still want's us to prepare if we feel the push to do that. If you don't, don't do it! I do.

Water is the most important prep of all. Everyone needs a good filtration system. A Brita pitcher is not going to cut it if you are forced to drink from a pond that may contain bacteria, viruses etc...
