and is that the midnight of the 22nd? when the Grand Cross aligns ? Or is that one tonight? at midnight?

Ok, good question on when the grand cross is.

This is what I understood… This is very confusing to me too but I will try my best.

Simply put, the grand cross is this: There will be alignments between four planets. Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter and Mars will all align!

These alignments will happen between April 20 and April 23. But I understood that since planets move relatively slow, the general period of this is between 10 April and 4 May, says one youtube video (link later on).

But what else is interesting is that between April 22 and 23 the planets will also be in 13 degrees of their respective zodiac signs. A planet can be in any sign, and inside of that sign it can be from 0-30 Degrees. In this case ALL FOUR planets will be 13 degrees (or at least approximately 13 degrees) inside their respective signs.

So this is the most important time, April 22-23 because of the 13 degrees reason.

It’s a complicated subject, I am not sure if I understood it correctly. But does this help?

And the moon will be closest to the earth on April 23 after midnight. The time in Virginia is now about 21:30 April 21.

So when you sleep today and tomorrow the sun rises it will be April 22. When the sun sets tomorrow let’s say 19:30 your time, and the moon appears, if you wait around 5 hours then it will be perigee! On April 23. I hope I explained it well.

Greenish and Coolish you have the right idea with the important peak alignments of the grand cross.

basically the two important factors are the 13th degree mark from an esoteric perspective which as you say is today april 22nd

within that window the peak in terms of alignments is between 12:30 pdt when mars is in an exact square with jupiter, and midnight pdt tonight, i.e. 12:08 pdt on april 23rd, when mars and uranus are opposed. both because it's the midpoint between these two times, and because this is the time of the tightest aspects comprehensively between all four planets, i'd say around 5pm pdt today is peak. this is also when the moon is at perigee. and when the "mashiach meal" to welcome the messiah is held by followers of the baal shem tov on both the east and west coast of the USA.
