This is a great subject but why so much negativity? What a person eats is their own decision. Any why are there so many people with the name of anonymous coward? It's a bit childish, don't you think?

Anyhow here are the results of my becoming a vegan. For many years I had very bad acid reflux. I did some research and found it that it was caused by acidic foods. The first thing I did was remove meat and dairy. That took care of that problem. I also was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and oste-arthritis. I read a book called The New Arthritis Cure by Bruce Fife. It told how to *cure* arthritis and fibromyalgia permanently. Most people don't realize that there is a cure. Just like there are cures for diabetes....this is no different. The trillion dollar pharmaceutical does not people to be cured by nutrients in our food, they want to give us a pill to just cover up the symptoms. But....there is a natural cure out there for every illness/disease.
So back to the book. The two most important things that the book recommends is a whole food plant based diet and coconut oil as a supplement. It has worked wonderfully. I am pain free! There was a point before I found the book where for a period of about 6 months, I could barely get up of the sofa. The pain was very bad. I can't believe what a difference it has made in my life.
Some people seem to think being a vegan is extreme. Well isn't getting your chest sliced open, you ribs broken and surgery performed on your heart much more extreme? Veganism has been proved to reverse heart disease. It has helped in the curing of many illness and diseases. I forgot to mention since going vegan my blood pressure and cholesterol are much lower!
With all that said, I don't judge people who still want to eat meat because they have free will and it's their choice. They should however become aware of the effects it has on our environment and then do what they think is right. :)
Namaste and Blessings.
