Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit.

And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
Genesis 9:5

VEGETARIAN DIET

There are many references in the Bible that would indicate that vegetarianism is the holy diet of the saints and Christ.
(Gen. 1:29, 8:20-9:6, Dan. 1:12-15, & 1:20, Ex. 16:14-35,
Is. 11:6-9, 65:25, 66:3, Ez. 47:12, Mat. 10:29, , Acts 10:10-48, Rom. 14:21, 2nd Tim. 4:1-5, Rev. 2:4.
Now many people will point out that the Bible says that Jesus ate FISH, however it is equally true that he said he spoke in parables that only the Apostles could understand (Mat, 13:10-13, 13:35, Luke 8:10).
It is important to note that half of Jesus’ Apostles were fishermen and that the fish represented the soul of Man. Therefore many of these “FISH STORIES” were obviously not about fish, but rather about fishing for souls. “ Bread” is symbolic for the word of God [= truth] … in one story 12 baskets [vessels] were collected after feeding the multitude, but clearly the 12 vessels represent the 12 apostles, their baskets being filled with [bread = word of god] and [fish = soul] so they were filled with the truth which Christ brought them.
In the garden of Eden Adam and Eve were vegetarian before their fall from perfection and God’s grace, clearly there was a respect for life and the individual sovereignty of every living being. The animals had no fear of man and came to Adam to be named.

Many bible thumpers misuse and misquote scriptures to justify their own agenda, they will quote Timothy saying veganism is demonic, they will say Jesus cooked fish without the awareness of the “metaphors” / allegorical symbolisms, and “parables which Christ plainly said he used in his speech. The prophet Daniel ate only porridge while in prophesy, Isaiah spoke of animals living together without killing and that children would play in a den of poisonous snakes without threat of harm.
He also said to kill an Ox is the same as killing a man [murder].
Saying Christ ate fish is the most common method used to persuade vegans to deviate from their diet. But ask this “Did he eat fish”?
Is this a parable about souls?
“Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves” said Christ, meaning do no harm, and be aware that knowledge is often twisted to achieve a personal/political/hidden agenda, and even more often it is simply misunderstood.

In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve were vegetarian, “Ha Adam” means “THE FARMER” and “Ha Eden” means “THE FARM” in Hebrew. This was the “GENESIS” of agricultural societies on Earth. Jesus’ apostles came from a Pre-existing CULT called the “ESSENES”, of which Jesus’ cousin John the Baptist was the leader. It is well documented that the Essenes were vegetarians.

It is very important to understand that when reading 2nd Tim. 4:1-5 that the word MEATS means vegetables, this is because of the OLD ENGLISH in which the King James version was written and is easily confirmed in Gen. 1:29 when YHWH says "I have given you every green herb for your MEAT".

BUT ............

When Noah and his family emerged from the Ark there were no trees, bushes, greenery, or plants of any kind available for food. It was going to take a little while before they could get gardens planted and harvested and trees ready to bear. So God gave them permission to eat the flesh of animals and to use their products. God said, "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." Gen. 9:3. God gave them permission to use meat temporarily or as a temporary diet because of insufficient plant food immediately after the Flood. Shortly after man began eating meat, his lifespan dropped from almost 1,000 years to less than 100 years.

Isaiah 66:3 Whoever slaughters an ox is like one who slays a man ...
But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a person, and whoever offers a lamb is like one who breaks a dog's neck;

In my opinion, it is due to people's different interpretation of the scriptures and people's selfish behaviour. Here is my interpretation:

In Genesis 1; 29, He declares:

“I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”

Here God promotes a diet of made up of fruits and vegetables.

In Genesis 9; 3 it says:

"Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs."

I believe the timing of this statement is critical. It is after the flood; when vegetation will be ruined/scarce and animal carcasses may be the only thing available. So He declares that animals are ok to consume in order to survive.

Importantly, it goes on to say:

"4. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

5. Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man."

This implies that living animals, that still have blood pumping round its body are not to be consumed.

And if you take away the life of an animal, that you will and should be punished by other animals and humans and that no one should condone these actions.

Verse 4–5 seem to go unacknowledged by most or purposefully misinterpreted in order for people to continue their behaviour, devoid of any guilt.

With an open-mind it is clear to see, there is no way that any God would condone the current mass enslavement and murder of animals by humans for our consumption when we have an abundance of and can live perfectly well on fruits, veggies, grains, nuts and seeds.

Although arguably meat tastes good, I believe it is the work of the devil to tempt you to kill animals to eat them for personal pleasure. People that choose to believe that God wants you to put animals; his creations, through unnecessary pain and suffering against their own will, are surely in denial; suppressing their own rationale and compassion for selfish reasons. God has given us the unique ability to feel empathy and reason, but instead we compare ourselves with carnivores and natural omnivores that are anatomically different and live more instinctively in order to excuse our own behavior. If studied, our physiology has a far greater resemblance to herbivores, and for good reason.
