ah, i see. ok what happens now? do we know what's going on in there? is there another day to it or more action today?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22918479 I believe that the contempt charge is then sent to a federal judge for a final ruling. If upheld, Congress would be in their right to have her arrested. I'm not an attorney, but I think that is how it would go... Quoting: SaveUSa "..The vote sets up a full debate on the House floor.." [ link to politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com] Quoting: RTS REDUX Thanks...I also thought that Issa mentioned that the contempt charge would also be ruled upon by a federal judge. Was that maybe what he expected to occur after the full House voted to hold her in contempt, and the Dems subsequently challenge?...or is that a part of the process? I could be totally wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure that he stated a Federal Judge would rule on this at some point. Quoting: SaveUSa I think he was probably referring to: "..possible court battle over the Fifth Amendment and a potential standoff with the Justice Department."
