when i was aprox 6 yrs old , me and my two brothers both older were outside december 9th 1965 , and we saw a large ball of light streaking across the sky , we could see an object in front encircled in flames descending quickly , it landed in kecksburg pa aprox 180 mi southwest of where we were located wittnesses say the craft didnt crash rather it was manuevering its self into that wooded area just outside kecksburg pa.

The only meteors/meteorites we ever heard of in the 50's was in science class in school. Used to see an occasional 'shooting star' but nothing like what is seen now. BTW, is science still taught in schools? I know teaching is forbidden, the kids might learn something. They're indoctrination centers now.

Maybe Russia has greater deposits of whatever attracts meteors (iron?) and just draws them in? Geomagnetic stuff...I don't know...just guessing!
