There are no such verses, despite your assertion. Why would he even state that in such fashion when the doctrine of him being the God Most High in human form wasn't even formulated until centuries later. The very notion would be preposterous to Jews and the followers of Jesus. The idea of gods incarneted in human form is purely pagan-hellenistic; that why the people in Lycra thought Paul and Barnabas were Zeus and Hermes. "But who do you say that I am?" "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven" Matthew 16:16-17 "Fully and clearly expressed or demonstrated; leaving nothing merely implied;" vedklyvare |

The subject in the sentence is "shephard", he is not saying he's intrinsically good, he is saying he is the good shephard[/u. The subject of the sentences is shepherd. Jesus, the Good Shepherd: I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. (John 10:14) Read the verse before the one often quoted by people saying Jesus is not God: 18 An important man asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to have eternal life?” 19 Jesus said, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good. (Luke 18:18-19) Surely the subject of Luke 18:18 is "Teacher", Jesus the Good Teacher. Just like the subject of John 10:14 is "Shepherd", Jesus the Good Shepherd. If the bible said the following, you might have a point, but it does not say this of course: An important man said to Jesus: You are GOOD! Jesus said, “Don't call me good? Only God is good. I'm not good, I'm not God". That is what you WISH the bible said. But it doesn't. In fact the bible has Jesus declaring Himself as GOOD, the GOOD SHEPHERD. Are you seriously going to sit there and say "Jesus is not good"? If you truly believe that Jesus is saying that He is not good in Luke 18:19, then just come out and say it. Do you believe Jesus Christ is good? Do you believe Jesus Christ is evil? Following the logic you are using, you are going to say Jesus Christ is evil. |
