Visions of shamans, Theta waves, hallucinations upon waking
Hello GLPers,

I have posted before on my experiences with hypnogagic hallucinations and other visions upon waking, but I am hoping to make some connections here with specific experiences with shamans. I've seen the greys, Quetzequaotl, other various entities, but I am trying to figure out this specific case.

I have these visions, or whatever you want to call them, right upon waking. I am in a state of consciousness where me, the ego identity, is conscious of the interaction, yet fully aware that I am in bed and also in another dimension.

I have met numerous shamans, most of which are Native American, others which seem to be more Amazonian, with skull like face paint.

Specifically, I have been in contact (although he doesn't talk to me, just sings and looks at me), with what I believe to be a plains native, or Hopi. Last night I woke up and he was there, slowly putting tobacco into a fire (which I could see the fire), and was wearing a buffalo horn headdress. He was singing. He has done this before, yet it was not as vivid as this experience. He has shown up meditating with me when I am in a deep trance state. Normally without clothes, except for a loin cloth. He's in his 80s. Bald. Quite wrinkled.

Other shamans I have seen were a female, working with what appeared to be a recently deceased person, lying down. Other ones have a face painted like a skeleton, are quite small, big feathers or husks on his head, and looked at me through his hand like a telescope as to say "I see you",

None of this is in color, it is more of an off green with black sparkly background. I wonder if my brain waves are entering a super deep Theta wave pattern, allowing me to also be conscious of the experience while traveling into the sixth (maybe) dimension, i am also curious to whether they are spirits still doing work, what dimension it is in, or even if they are current living souls that are doing work. My feeling is that they are all passed, as I can tell by their dress style.

I've been going through this for two years. I am quite alright with it, but I can't seem to find any rational for why, even through dmt nexus and those experiences that people have, this is without drugs.

If anyone has any imput, I would love to hear it. Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed reading this! I have much more to say in detail about the experiences if anyone is inclined to ask! Thank goodness for GLP. I can't seem to find too many people who are open to discussing my experiences.

I should also add I had a kundalini awakening, crown, and third eye explosion prior to all of this. It is always tamed when I go to a sweat lodge, but the shamanic experiences are always there.

Yes, very interesting! I would love for this to be happening to me, altho I think you are brave, which means I am probably too chicken myself. Did you have to meditate and intend a long time before this started happening? I have meditated, visualized, and intended to simply remember what is happening when I am in deeper awareness, but when I come back to waking consciousness it is like the door slams shut and I remember nothing.

Hi! To be quite honest,it came on after my kundalini rise. Immediately. Tgen I got turned onto the realities of the world. No practice, just some mushrooms. Holding onto that part of consciousness is so tough, I still del with it. I find it to be all about focus and the drive to focus. If you want to experience it, you will. I dont intend for these experiences to happen, but when I am aware of them, I focus as if it is a life and death scenario. Fight or flight within the other dimension within consciousness.

Sorry for th double post. Thanks for your reply. This is some of the best advice I have been given. Thank you so much. I feel him all the time, but it is still within the five senses realm, right. Ego has a big part in this.. Tripe fire sign here. So when I have been so fortunate to be able to have this gift of seeing the other realms and some amazing spirit guides, my ego takes the best of the situation. I want to ask about me. Not the consciousness of the world and the universe. Does that make sense?

I will be listening more. It's just hard to sit there and not be exhilarated by the fact that I am conscious and experiencing this. Must listen. Thanks AC. hfhf

Re: Visions of shamans, Theta waves, hallucinations upon waking
I like the idea of asking a question. It could be as simple as "Is there a meaning or deeper purpose to our meeting in this vision?" or you can ask for clarity in the purpose of the vision.

I have not experienced these types of visions but I have had what I call "flash visions" that come when I am drifting into sleep. They seem symbolic at times like once I saw a coyote sitting at a crossroad or sometimes I'll see a face that is unfamiliar to me. I wonder who these people are and if there is a reason for the vision.

I also get auditory flashes like a voice will say something or a group of people talking. When I was very young I heard whispers (also when trying to fall asleep) that would say bad things. I told my dad about it and he didn't make a big deal of it. He said that this happens to many people and if I just ignore them they would eventually go away. I trusted him.. did as he told me and eventually they did indeed go away.

I had an experience with mushrooms once where my ceiling turned translucent and the random texture of the ceiling seemed to rotate into itself and turned into Mayan (or maybe Aztec) glyphs. This was very interesting to me because they were quite detailed and I had never studied such designs very closely. I heard once that the Mayans used mushrooms quite often in their rituals so I wonder what I was tapping into.

Re: Visions of shamans, Theta waves, hallucinations upon waking
I have a couple of questions.
Are you aware of your genetic background? Is there native linage in your family history?

Have you done research into the tribes to find if one in particular resonates with you? If so I recommend you learn their mythology it might have a lesson for you.

What did it physically feel like when your kundalini rose?

I would see a monk at times in deep meditation. I came to believe he was alive and not spirit. I found him recently by happenstance on the web. He is sort of three steps up from my local Buddhist temple. I am going to go for meditations this summer at that temple - of course since I feel I've been invited by this monk, actually he is a Lama. Sometimes when I meditate I have to open my eyes and make sure my house is not on fire as it grows that bright when I sit closed eye in meditation. I believe we have visions and meditation experiences lined up with what comes naturally to our soul.

Unless we mess with drugs from other regions of the world then we have foreign experiences. My visions are not drug enhanced, though I am not opposed.

You could try to "invoke" a spirit while dozing off.

Maybe research some spirit sigils, perhaps.

I've had limited success with a certain Goetic fellow (he basically just showed himself and said something I couldn't make out)
Yes, I realize goetics are "demons" but he was one of the more laid back ones and was pretty well behaved.

Also had great success just praying to God and asking Him to send a good and kind Angel to instruct me on whatever it felt I needed (turned out to be something about the reptilian brain and using sexual energy for other ends)
Had a very sweet and patient energy.

Hi Bear! These experiences of yours have that tinge of deeper worth, and usually I don't stop for most that are posted on here 99% of the time.
Assuming you're in an open tentative place where you might go in an important (for you) direction in life..you could expect further clues to come your way without you having to strain outside of yourself.
Maybe you can invite more dialogue or interaction with these envisioned primordial types of vision (early in the morning the clear ones, often are message-types whether dream and/or visions).
Then when/if you have another invite further communication instead of being in the position of being observer only.

Then maybe just live your life without expectation (sticking your neck out) and just be receptive.

As they say, when the student is ready the teacher will come.
And if you're connecting with energy that is inherently deep and ancient, you would need a Genuine guide...no fookin' flakes.
Other thing, imho you can trust experiences more if there is no drug whatsoever involved..heaven & earth do meet and interweave on some conscious occasions without them however 'natural' they are.
When you think about it, mushrooms, etc have Ceremonial uses with guides..perhaps they are tools for opening yet would say reliably they are not the end-all point. Not at all.

I hope you can let us know if your visions lead to meaningful places for you, Bear.
One little bitsy caution though. If these mean more maybe it's not a good idea to 'spend' yourself sharing them here. Some aspects of life's deeper realities might be better contained and experienced than spilling them out..
in other words could lose their richness in the act of sharing them.
Love to you, Bear

Hi Dawa! Insightful post. I do feel as if I am ready. I've had a few flooks as you say come into my life in past years, but only now does it seem genuine, considering the ancient aspect of it. I will keep you posted on new revelations, absolutely.

I should internalize more, yes. I'm extremely extroverted, so sharing the experiences as the open book that I am feels natural. But I also believe that this introspective work is essential to the journey. Might be the hardest aspect of all.

Hope you have a wonderful day hf

Yes, there is native lineage. Shawnee. I've also had other experiences with some Hopi spirits a few years ago. It could be related.

The monk visual is awesome. I've heard monks chanting Om on occasion, during the awakening process. Glad you have found your guru, although I feel that we are the guru.... But need the help of others.
