The problem is men stopped being men. You don't have to degrade women to be a real man. But still, a real man rules the roost. Period. My wife wouldn't dare cross my authority. Not because I would beat her but because my judgement is genuinely superior just like most mens judgement should be if they have done their due diligence and taught themselves wisdom.

I have a traditional wife like from the 40's because I am a traditional man. I don't take shit off any fucker. I earn lots of money. I love my family. And I bring the moral high ground in every instance. My wife comes to me for advice. She doesn't think that she knows better. Women's perception of reality is skewed by emotion and drama. My wife understands this and accepts it. Other women think they know but don't have a fucking clue in the real world.

Certainly agree with that. Men have no clear role in society anymore. The feminist and gay agendas have polluted the male population to the point of extinction in the Western world. Deliberately too I may add.

Of course she'll be happier with a Hoover- a vacuume was a big ticket item, and before she had one she had to drag the rugs out of the house and beat them with a broom (we got our first vacuume when I was 8, I don't know how Mom felt, but as official rug beater, I was delirious)

Maybe not as a Christmas present though.

In the 50's a new vaccume would give the little lady more bragging rights than a new BMW would now. Vacuums were one of the first things people bought on time, after iceboxes and pianos.
As consumer goods become restricted we'll see more value placed on utilitarian objects.
