What does it mean when a leader doesnt salute a lower ranking member? Kim Jong Uns wife is still alive!

It is interesting that he does not salute. I would interpret that to mean he is NOT a soldier.

However, he is quick to offer a hand shake which is a much more person greeting.

He does not want to be seen as a military leader. He wants to be seen as a MAN, a real man.

I salute have saluted people as a sign of respect. However a nice firm solid hand shake is a sign of a stand up man who can be trusted.

There may be more to it to be interpreted however that is my take on the matter.

Not sure exactly what it means however.

I think he wants to be seen as "Just a guy".
