Should a guy stay sober while wife is pregnant, or does he tell her to STFU?

As a female I think she's being an idiot. Smoke and drink your heart out!

She's gonna smell it on you. Trust me I know.

Best thing to do for a pregnant wife is anything she wants.

second ~ don't be a dunce about it. She is pregnant, so dont be wild and crazy party guy ~ have some heart and understanding. You dont want to smell like a Boston Bar every night while her changing senses and hormones are playing games with her body.

and then the last month or two reel it back even more ~ cuz you never know when it will be go time. 24 hrs bottle to throttle mean dont get hammered ass drunk in those last weeks.

My wife was constantly horny during both her pregnancies. Best sex of our marriage by far.

By month eight I was already wetting the babies head.

Thanks for quick response. I have a few hour window each day before she gets home from work. I'll have a few beers and a smoke each night before she gets home!

As a good father you should be sober.
You can start drinking again when the kids leave home...

vibrationally you will connect better....

pregnancy is high vibration
alcohol low vibration.

if you want to connect with the baby and your child as it grows up you may want to raise your vibration up by not drinking.

My husband falls asleep after drinking so he never irritated me by drinking when I couldn't. He didn't really enjoy it much either since drinking alone can be boring.

If it upsets her, then I would go to a buddy's house and get some alone time... if this is your first baby you will APPRECIATE that alone time. Also- enjoy sleep while you can. I haven't slept good in 5 years.

Sounds like a lovely home life for a child to start out in. Nice work!

If you want to pursue that lifestyle, why did you make the baby in the first place??

Peaceful drunk, can drink 10 beers don't even feel it or act crazy. Smoke the green and no one can even tell.

You obviously have no idea about drinking.

Why do you need to get drunk? Allegedly you love her so why not for a few months do as she asks. What are you going to do when you have a child? Walk around drunk with the baby? Maybe drive? Or pass out while watching the kid? Maybe she is wanting you to grow up, you have a huge responsibility coming.

You are in for some happy memories. There will probably be some moments of insanity, but don't be too hard on yourselves. There is no such thing as a perfect parent- at least that I've ever met/seen. Parenting has been a roller coaster ride of humility for us, but the kids are worth it. Kids, believe it or not, can teach a parent as much as we teach them.
Congratulations.... drink and be merry.

You just have to be fair about it. You drink and smoke now, while she is nurturing and protecting the baby. Then, when the baby is born and momma is ready, you stay home and nurture and protect your baby and she get to go drink and smoke. Say, a year for her and year for you.

The emotional roller coaster is real and will cause you to be exhausted.

Sure she's gonna get horny, but she'll also be an emotional mess at times.

My wife would call me at work sobbing and crying for the dumbest reasons. For a couple of weeks she would cry because she thought the dogs hated her for being "fat." There are plenty of other WTF moments...

You don't ever drink a few beers with the spouse while the kids are sleeping?

Every parent I know makes some time for themselves. If I don't, I'll go nuts.

Hell if I drink beer I don't see the point of drinking any less than 6. If I just want something to drink I drink water instead.

You wrote 10 beers and smoking weed. It may feel normal to you but it will affect your judgement. I don't want to be mean, but I feel for your wife. She is bringing a new life into this world. She may think it is time to become the perfect little family. She's gonna change because she is thinking baby. You asking here if she should STFU doesn't sit well with me.
