If it was man made the Ice Age and the subsequent heat following the Ice age would have never happened.

Not if we are going into a minor or major ice age, which we are in the process of doing. I farm and therefore pay close attention to the daily heat patterns, it is getting colder not warmer which is bad for those of us that grow food.

You do know that the Antarctic is a DESERT, right?

If a short period of warmer weather comes along and causes the glaciers to melt some, it takes a HELL of a lot longer period for them to grow back than for them to melt. Try hundreds to thousands of years to grow back.

Here's one for ya. If you or any of the screwed up glaciologists or climatologists can show irrefutable
data every 100 years for the amount of glacier ice in Antarctica going back 50,000 years, then you and they would have a valid argument.

But guess what? They aren't even sure of what caused the younger drias period. Or What caused the previous ice ages. Or sure of what caused the Medieval Climate Optimum.

Even faced with the massive amount of uncertainties and miniscule data in their own view of historical causes and effects of past climate change, the politicians, government grant dependent scientists and scientific organizations, and a bunch of nitwits that would not know the difference between a cumulus cloud and their brain, jump up and down that this is absolutely settled, and the science and history is absolute and should not be questioned. This type of shit makes my stomach crawl.

Enough of this running around like stupid chicken little and screaming the "The Sky is Falling!"

Even the scientists have too little information to be sure.

firstly, the changing climate is a natural event.. otherwise how to explain the Roman Warm period which saw a number of locations being swallowed by the sea/lost to water at the end of the period.

The Scilly Isles off the coast of Britain where created when the island was inundated by the sea around 300-400AD

The Dian Kingdom (China) was lost to water in around 300AD

Llys Helig (Wales)vanished around 300-400AD

the city of Pheia (Greece) was submerged by earthquake around 300AD

Hannibal crossed the Alps because it was during a warm period..

We can find many correlations between major events and the end of warm periods, and blaming man seems silly..

for example the type of period we are in now saw very similar storms lash Europe in the 1200s, although with modern technology/defences the damage has been minimal..

But these are ultimatly natural events..

What is sad is that the steps being taken do nothing to change the balance, those who bang on about climate change and what must be done tend to never look at what they are actually doing, it all sounds good, nice self congratulatory pats on the back which do nothing.

Take the Waste Electrical, while we might not be burying the products to contaminate the earth we are instead using the plastic as a fuel source to reclaim the rare earths in a bid to combat Chinas growing supremacy in rare earths.. the outcome of which is that instead of saving the planet by not burying crap that crap is being pumped into the atmosphere instead...

Which just leaves me thinking the greenies believe in simply sweeping things under a rug so they can say what a good job they have done when the reality they have done nothing but partake in a corporate money raising scheme that does not change anything.

Climate change deniers are like lemmings running together right off the fucking cliff. I'm not sure if it's terminal stupidity or just self-serving assholes who fear thier lifestyle is gonna take a hit.

There is no proof climate change is caused by humans.
Climate change has been happening for millions of years without human interaction you sir are a sheep.

Actually, if you look at the the full history of satellite images of about 40 years (not the edited politically correct version), it shows the ice-caps shrinking, growing much larger, then shrinking again.

BTW; it was Enron that came up with the whole idea of trading carbon credits. Might want to watch the movie "The Smartest Guys in the Room" and take a look at how easily people are scammed on a large scale - what Enron did as a body corporate to California, etc. You will be surprised. Also recommend this movie. Will open your eyes to how media really works.

So? You know there are many ancient man made structures under the oceans already. This so called melt has been going on for thousands of years. Were their SUVs and factories responsible for that thousands of years ago? This planet is constantly changing temperature, up, down, up, down and these cycles take thousands of years. Population explosion during these warm ups, then declines during the ice ages. We just happen to be nearing the end of a so called warm up and this likely still has hundreds of years to go. People move or adapt to the changes. Thats the way it is. Stop thinking insignificant man can stop the power of Mother Nature. A damn carbon tax sure isn't going to help. In fact, it would harm the ability of people to "adapt".

What can I as an individual do to stop the Antarctic slide?
