She also said the dog belonged to a neighbor and is now under voluntary observation for two weeks at Bakersfield Animal Control. The neighbor was pulling their vehicle out of their gated driveway when the dog escaped. The neighbor called 911 on behalf of the boy and his mother. One of my dogs hates it when my grand son swings, slides, skates, or anything with unusual movement. He will bark and start acting aggressive like he wants to bite him. I have to constantly, monitor him when he's outside. He's fine toward him unless, he's doing some movement besides walking. |

It looks like the dog was on the hunt, and found it's prey.Gut feeling tells me this dog will attack again. As for the cat, there is no doubt that he saved the child from further injury or even death. This cat should be eating premium cat food, salmon, or whatever it likes the best, for the rest of it's life. Hero Kitty !!!  The dog probably will be put down. The owners of the dog should be jailed, unless they have a really good reason for their dog getting out. Some people think it's funny to open someone else's gate. Awesome cat. |
