This is B.S. He contracted the virus from the patient who was hospitalized here in my area. IF this guy stays well, then IMO he is a carrier. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Not truly a carrier unless he remains viremic. In most viruses one will contract the virus and mount an immune response and clear the virus. They can shed the virus during that time whether they show symptoms or not,but don't usually become ongoing carriers. |

User ID: 57844656 United States 05/18/2014 01:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm perplexed by this story. It seems odd that if they were simply monitoring his health that they would be doing blood draws if he were asymptomatic. This seems contrived. It's almost as if they want to placate the public by insinuating that it could be less of a health risk than they thought (i.e., that people could be coming down with it and not even showing symptoms, therefore meaning it's much less deadly than previously suspected, more like West Nile or something). I mean, why is THIS ONE GUY getting so much attention when SO MANY people have been exposed to these people - they were on international flights and the one dude was sitting in a crowded ER down in Florida for hours before he was quarantined. Are they monitoring everyone this closely? If not, what are the odds that the single dude they are keeping tabs on would have an asymptomatic version of this fairly novel virus? Because medical records are covered by so many privacy regulations, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to independently verify these claims. I just don't believe anything they say... |

But Jerusalem will be raised up high from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses, and will remain in its place. 11 It will be inhabited; never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure. 12 This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another. 14 Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected— great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. 15 A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps. |

Interesting, but MERS doesn't cause that extreme of symptoms. That sounds like Ebola or something worse. I believe MERS is in the Ebola family but it isn't in danger of mutating? |
