SDO changed their search methods so it's sort of tricky to pull up what you need nowadays.

UPDATE FOR THE THREAD:

I've gone back to page 1 and read through the responses
to my thread again.

I want to make something really clear here.

I do NOT believe that Danny Wilten is putting the
images of the Orion Nebula or the Cistine Chapel
Orion/brain on T-Shirts because he is in his "EGO"
and wishing any particular fame--or even that he
will become financially rich doing this! (I have
sold T-shirts and designed silk-screen logos in
the past--you can't get rich making T-Shirts...you
do it because of the art and because it is a
really fun market.

This post (above) that mentioned that Danny should
not make his T-shirts if it is to puff-up his EGO
coincidentally comes at the same day that Danny
Wilten made the following video concerning "EGO"

I don't know if he has even seen this thread, or if
he has been told about the comments here on GLP
by some folks on his UTUBE channel--maybe it is
just a coincidence. People throw that word around
like other defaming labels--but in this case,
Wilten he should NOT be a target suggesting he
an "egomaniac."

My whole point in even creating this thread is
for my GLP brothers and sisters to give me some
"in-put" on why it is....
WHY HAVE I--personally--had such a KNEE-JERK-
REACTION to purchasing or wearing one of the Orion
Nebula T-Shirts as if would offend "God" or even
be "bad luck" somehow (because I consider the
Orion Nebula a sacred symbol itself like the Cross?)
I have never reacted toanything this strongly before.
I've always considered my self as a fairly open minded
and logical person. Now I understand that it is
"programming"--not some New World Order programming
but from my OWN HISTORY, my family, my spiritual
path and even my own superstitions.

So...bottomline here is that I have learned something
about MYSELF. I've got to push out of my own
"comfort zone" with regard to things like sacred
images...or the "all-seeing-EYE" and not allow this
to trip old (and unproductive) family programming
to make me feel uncomfortable or in danger of
eternal damnation for thinking or saying or
wearing something that the "church" may find taboo.

If I think that the image of the Orion Nebula is
absolutely gorgeous--one of the most beautiful
of the Creator's works, why not share that with
other people? Obviously, the poll at the beginning
of the thread shows the majority on GLP are all VERY
COOL with Wilten making his Orion T-Shirts and
even with making money from that effort (why should
he give it away for free? Everyone needs to make
a living!)
A loving Creator will see what is in your heart
when you wear something like a T-shirt which has
ANY sacred symbol printed on it. If you are wearing
it to goof around "casting spells" like you are
a magician and have power over people's mind--
then THAT would be a bad thing.

It all comes down to INTENT. What is your intent
in wearing something that pulls profound feelings
from other people who may happen to see it? On the
other end of the spectrum...what is your intent to
wear a T-Shirt that says: "FUCK YOU" on it? Or...
has a picture of something truly disgusting that
gets a really negative reaction?

Like those bracelets that said "What would
Jesus do?" Wearing an Orion T-Shirt could remind
you when you are depressed and having a gloomy day
that "Hey! Orion's out there! Something truly
magical and awesome is right above your head....
Don't sweat the small stuff! Just LOOK UP!"
(Just don't spill beer on it--that would be rude.)


Anyways...I'm probably going to get one of the
T-shirts and see how my customers react to it.
If it is a genuinely positive response, I'll continue
to wear it. If it makes people feel uncomfortable,
I will be careful where I go when I have it on.

Thanks everyone for giving me your in-put on this
question. It may seem really trivial to some people
but I just had to get to the bottom of this reaction.
We've had a lot of really creative responses to it
and I appreciate your helping me to see why I had
the reaction that I did. I think I'm o.k. with this
now. "To each his own!"

AND...to Danny Wilten I would say "Thanks for 2 years
of incredible work--and best of luck with you new
T-Shirt line! (Even when I thought I might be struck
by lightning if I wore one--I never thought that your
motives were ego-based or negative. Just had to get
past my "superstitious Lutheran programming! lol!)

Everyone--Please feel free to continue the discussion
