You need air circulation systems, humidity control, and UPS power that is in the vicinity and hardened against a variety of foreseeable mishaps. Cost vs income is good long term, location is first priority like anything. High end vault services require 24/7 attendants who are bonded, discrete and armed. |

Instead of Farmers and Ranchers State Bank named something else. Shocking how easy it is to start a state chartered bank in most states. Wouldn't that make us subject to whole ton of regulations though. For example, reporting if people were to deposit money that they had overseas? “Expectations are the root of all heartache” "I like all of the races, even the bad ones." |

Also, it would be a good idea to have the vaults in a concrete wall. I think everyone is correct though, it would be a tremendous undertaking and if we were to make a fortune, we would be under the watchful eye of the gov't. Which when I thought of the idea, it was so that people could avoid those watchful eyes and give a big middle finger to the banks. Oh well. Storage facilities aren't regulated and as long as we "supervise" to make sure people aren't dropping off dead bodies or little kids, kilos of coke, then it could be essentially an unregulated bank by another name and a bit of a different cover. Quoting: Etta So, why not just open up a bank? |

(OP) User ID: 58223737 United States 05/19/2014 11:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your best advise is to talk to the people who are having trouble putting their money in the bank. They just might go for it, some people do not want a lot of money in their house or home. People find out and you could wind up dead. Quoting: Wells It makes sense to me, if it is not against the law and with that money you might be able to get some advise from someone about making a little money pooled together and help other who have nowhere else to turn, but can pay you back but with less interest that a bank would charge. Not all your money but some pooled money, with legal papers. There are many ways to see a need and provide what is need and I am not talking about buying more mary jane. Make it clean then back to the bank if you want, too. Private loans with collateral backing, even if you let them work some of it off. Times a rough for people even with good credit. No loan sharks.! Could be. I think that this place would be more of a safe place rather than an interest bearing account. The idea would be that if it were legal and you were just using at as a storage unit, that hopefully your money would not be seized or discovered, but sadly, in this day and with the current government, if they are looking for records on customers or cash, they'll just go and get it. You are exactly correct in your thinking regarding keeping money in your home, or driving around with suitcases full of cash, this could be a problem. “Expectations are the root of all heartache” "I like all of the races, even the bad ones." |

The storage house was super- protected with heavily armed men constantly. Check it out. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 58023096 Canada 05/19/2014 11:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had an idea, which I think could be good, but I am kind of a dreamer so some realistic opinions would be appreciated. Quoting: Etta In Washington state they legalized pot, but the banks don't want the money. The government is also trying to make off shore banking a big no-no. And lastly we have guns and ammo sellers, and the banks are making things difficult for them plus the feds want all of their computerized records. I think that all of these "regulations" and policing and just going to get worse. So, I was thinking, why not build a super high security storage facility. A place with storage units that have safes built into the concrete. People could keep money there, customer records on paper, or anything else that isn't illegal but may be frowned upon. What do you guys think??? I think it's a good idea but one that requires a lot of money...plus dont forget the insurance costs..you will have to be covered to the hilt in case of theft.. |

I have to talk the guys with the money into it. I put a bug in their ear today, and one guy sounded excited. I will chat with them more tomorrow and see if this is something that could be feasible and profitable and something that we could get a few partners in on. They'll probably nix it but maybe if I put the right hat on....I can talk them into it. “Expectations are the root of all heartache” "I like all of the races, even the bad ones." |

I also came across RoboVaults in Florida searching for the name of the local company. You may want to look into these names. The local company (24/7) was robbed a few years ago however, that article came across in the google search. |

The episode is called 'Rocky Mountain High'. Hilarious. I still have to see if I can talk the guys with the $$$ into something like this. I do think that it would take a lot of $$$ to get started and that partners would be needed. We will see, they may not be interested at all....then I will just have to come up with something else cool. "Rocky Mountain High". Hahaha. “Expectations are the root of all heartache” "I like all of the races, even the bad ones." |

Then, they take those money orders and deposit them into bank accounts at a legitimate bank and, just like that, they have clean and legal money. |
