USA Gas use is Tanking - Supply and Demand no longer relevant, only Price vs people with Jobs.

Gasoline and Diesel going over 4 dollars a gallon is the end of private trucking, it is only going to allow for Corporate subsidized trucking to continue.

The price of the end products will go up, and you will pay for the increased cost to deliver goods to you.

We will just take it when we really want to. No one can stop us. We will extract it as well if need be. We are getting close but it's still not time.

But first they tricked us into moving to the suburbs where you couldn't even go to church without a car. Now they want us back in the city.

when i started driving gas was $.23 / gal

When a Tesla is in every garage it will fall to zero.

When I started driving I could fill my tank up with $14 now it's $50

I ride the motorcycle(s)whenever possible.our biggest fuel hit lately will be using the f150 to drag the trailered Sailboat 100 miles back to the bay for the season.

Gas just spiked to $3.90 today in Ohio for no apparent reason.

You need to factor in inflation for the true picture

I recall 15 cents, I could fill up my truck tank for 3 dollars.

Then again 10 dollars an hour was millionaire money and a large sack of groceries averaged 5 dollars

Inflation is a stealth tax applied to all by govdotorg at the direction of the bankers

I am searching around right now to see if global demand has taken up the slack in U.S. consumption. Between a declining dollar and growing demand elsewhere, plus limited refinery capacity, I am not ready to concede that supply and demand has become irrelevant.

I get about 110 mpg on my 2.75 hp bicycle

A few theories:

People can't pony up 30 grand for a car
Hybrids and electric cars cut gas usage
People stay at home and talk on Facebook / Twitter/ and GLP instead

The holiday weekend starts on Thursdays. Prices will be on their highs until mid-week. Like clockwork.

Everybody filled their tires up with air just like I told them and look how much less gas we are using. Will my miracles ever cease??

It's not the same amount of dollars after adjusting for inflation. It is much less money actually.

Good advice

1) Bush allows job outsourcing to China and India, pumping money into those impoverished economies
2) Lifelong bicycle riders in China and India suddenly find themselves able to buy cars, and do so on a very large scale
3) World demand for gasoline skyrockets
4) Price of gasoline in the USA skyrockets
5) Expendable income disappears, mortgages can no longer be paid, leading to the great recession of 2008
6) Demand for gasoline plummets, and prices also begin to plummet
7) Oil companies begin quietly exporting gasoline to Mexico and South America. It ensures a perpetual shortage of supply in the USA, guaranteeing prices remain artificially high in the USA regardless of how low demand goes

Remember the mid 90's when gas started creeping over $1.50 a gal. And people were bitching then? Damn I'm old. LOL

Yep, the USA will be like this 3rd world country I live in very soon. There are very few rich people here with new cars, most people walk, or ride little 100cc Motorcycles or bicycles.

I have seen a family of 5 on a Motorcycle here.

Just wait, you will start seeing it there.

This is with 1.48 gas prices.....
