If people of Syria decide to elect Assad as their president, then what right does anyone have to say otherwise?
Isn't this how democracy works?
People of Syria see Assad as their saviour against outside forces backed by the west.

So they will try to convince western people that Assad is evil and has no support. Justification for removing him and placing their own puppet instead. Regardless of wish of Syrian people. I often wonder what future of humanity holds if the root and foundation of future is set by criminal elite. Can never ever produce a good fruit from a defective seed. But if the seed is good to begin with, a bad fruit is the result of neglect and can always be remedied.
