if you could really predict future prices by looking at graphs of old prices, wouldn't everybody be doing it? and all be zillionaires from the amazing predictive abilities?  Putting company stocks aside for a second (because they can go bankrupt), what tangible item(s) is/are cheaper now than 100 years ago??? Isn't investing the point? Without an historical chart to track prices, how do you buy at the best price? The USD is a good one off the top of my head. But then again thats why I like PMs and commodities. That said, I'm no dollar doomer. I'm not your average gold bug.
