Thats incredible. Where the heck is this thing headed? Drawing a line across the top of the peaks makes $38+ possible. If it breaks above there this thing is off to the races maybe. finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=JNUG+Basic+Chart&t=6m |

All I am looking for is a small rally and then the correction to capture some serious profit. If gold rises to $1370 and then works its way back to $900 thats more than a $550 move. Forget about all the ups and downs in between. Gotta be a $1000 move all told. So, the profits in UGLD and DGLD for instance, could be MASSIVE. |

Just plan on hedging when necessary. On the surface it would seem a lot more hedging could be necessary than I originally thought. But thats good! I'll take some short term gains too. Then gold will crater. Wont make a damn bit of difference IMO. Gold is a cycle and after this bear is over it will turn back up. And even if gold does crater I'll make a bundle shorting it. Got anything else??? if you read my signature you'll see I am prepared for a down move. $900 gold in 2015 or 2016 wont change anything for me. Last Edited by Chucklebutt on 06/13/2014 04:57 PM |

He caught the last gold rally and if we are to see another, you can bet your ass he knows its on its way. Quoting: Punk-A$$ets And there is Martin Armstrong right on cue. He says the bounce from June 2nd was right on time. I get the feeling from his writing that the bounce can continue. But doubt it will get to $1355. Anyway, the miners and silver both topped long before gold so I could see them bottoming 1st. Still looks to me like silver and the miners (gold miners too), especially the Jrs, could have more upside. If I'm wrong I'll hedge with JDST and quick. Looking at a yearly chart of this fund sure makes it seem like its just getting started. I suspect we'll see some gut wrenching corrections along the way. But over all, just like the last rally, it could be a multi month rise. |

Also, was up near $5 when silver almost hit $50. Quoting: Drunk Uncle What do you think PA? I'd take this miner rally as it comes and milk it for all its worth. Hopefully, we digest the last weeks gains for a few days at least. I dont buy individual miners because I suck as a stock picker. So its ETFs for me. I am still accumulating and plan to over the next year. Faster if there is a major trend change. But I'll also be playing the short side when its called for. |

I dont pretend to know when a real rally will come but will continue to buy in over the next 1-2 years as we cycle through the bottom in PMs. Hopefully make a bit of coin along the way. Mostly from playing inverse ETFs to protect my investments. I still think we could see new lows in both gold and silver in 2015 even if we rise up to the $1500 level in gold and the $26 level in silver over the next several months. The initial move in JNUG early last week was incredibly strong and so it didnt (and still doesnt) look to be just a typical dead cat style bounce. We'll see... |

Thats not to say we wont see a test of the $1500s area before rolling over at some point. But make no mistake I am long the miners and have been for a few months now. I even bought more JNUG on Friday hoping for another gap up or 2 before a real correction. I'm also ready with cash in case I need to jump into JDST to keep the account positive! lol Larry Edelson is saying that the higher gold goes the higher the final washout low will be if and when it comes. I guess if we rise up to $1500 and fail and make it to new lows those will be closer to $1100 instead of $900. So lest hope for a large rally here. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 51836056 United States 07/19/2014 08:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I waited for gold to do something for over a decade. I made a little money but it was so boring, truly worse than watching paint dry. I finally dumped it and went back to trading paper. These days I'm basically a trend trader. I wait for queues to single a trend up or down is confirmed then I buy or sell. If the trend peters out I dump the position. If the trend reverses I reverse my position. If the trend resumes I buy back my position. This is what most hedge funds and professional traders do. They are trend followers. It's pretty simple. It's not always fun or easy. During times of chop you can get beat up pretty good getting knocked in and out of your positions multiple times. But... I would rather be a trend trader than try to make some kind of directional guess about the future price and be wrong and argue with my position as I wait for years for the thing to turn around again. That sucks. |
