Even though I apologized to my family I am truly haunted by things that crawl up from the recesses of my mind. Nd remind me of the wrongs against my family,friends and all the others whom I've wronged in one way or another. This all stems from being nearly killed in an auto accident in 2003. After being dead or nearly dead after my own misadventures and having my kids seeing me blue and not breathing on a couple of occasions that had a very deep affect on them but I can recall all of the things that have happened to me, the good and the bad and even though I have made peace with it and I pray every day to have these things go away. They haunt me every day. Maybe it's the penance I have to pay to live with all the physical pain that I endure and the haunting by memories past. my mind needs rest, I need rest but I fight on still!! I was able to get this to stop by practicing meditation daily. You have to empty your mind. You have to fight. Whenever these thoughts come into your mind- you need to close your eyes and breathe deeply and imagine that you are physically taking hold of these unwanted intrusive thoughts and literally throwing them out of your mind. Keep doing this. Anytime of day- when these thoughts come- imagine you are physically picking them up and throwing them out. You can clear this clutter out of your mind. Force yourself to replace them with peaceful thoughts. Comcentrate on a flower or repeat Mantra's to yourself. Stay in the here and now. I promise you this works. You are in CONTROL of your thoughts. Clear out that clutter and give yourself a refreshed , clear mind.
