Advanced Warfare, which has been in development for three years, is set in a future where technology and military practice have combined to create a new kind of war. Most military missions have been outsourced to private military corporations (PMCs). In the middle of it all: the villainous Johnathan Irons, head of Atlas Corporation, the largest PMC.

"Democracy is not what these people need. Hell, it's not even what they want. People don't want freedom. They want boundaries, rules, protection—from invaders and from themselves," says Irons, voiced by actor Kevin Spacey. "People need a leader who can give them both the support and the constraints to keep chaos at bay. You give them that and they'll follow. And that's where I come in."

Also, today Electronic Arts announced a new spin-off in the Battlefield series, entitled 'BF: Hardline'. Whereas the Battlefield series typically focuses on military affairs, 'Hardline' will be a police-themed entry to the series.
