Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52901399 [link to www.billoblog.com] False Rape Accusations Are Not Rare A recent look at TruthLaidBear brings up a statement of “outrage” about a judge ruling a rape accusation false. A common theme among those who are outraged is as stated by one such (Shakespear’s Sister) that: “Yes, there are some women (and men) who file false rape charges. They are, however, rare, usually quickly identified as false, and are almost always thrown out long before trial.” Having been involved as an expert in a multitude of cases with significant publicity, I know that it is foolish to be certain of guilt or innocence based on news accounts. I do know, however, that the statement above is simply false. A study of rape allegations in Indiana over a nine-year period revealed that over 40% were shown to be false — not merely unproven. According to the author, “These false allegations appear to serve three major functions for the complainants: providing an alibi, seeking revenge, and obtaining sympathy and attention. False rape allegations are not the consequence of a gender-linked aberration, as frequently claimed, but reflect impulsive and desperate efforts to cope with personal and social stress situations.” ( Kanin EJ. Arch Sex Behav. 1994 Feb;23(1):81-92 False rape allegations. ) In 1985, a study of 556 rape allegations found that 27% accusers recanted when faced with a polygraph (which can be ordered in the military), and independent evaluation showed a false accusation rate of 60%. Someones blog is not credible. LOL, it's a blog that just so happens to source official investigations. Are ya kind of new to this internet thing? Are you new to shilling GLP? LOL, no government entity is going to pay someone to be anti-false accusation. Our government is big time PRO false accusation. LOT$$$$ of $$$$ in the false accusation industry. Sexual assault and harassment used to extort companies through lawsuits with the state getting a percentage and false DV accusations in divorces that the state also gets a percentage of. No, no money in taking up the cause of ending false accusations, just standing for what is right and that's hard to find in a country and legal system full of cockroaches. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 58693463 [link to www.billoblog.com] False Rape Accusations Are Not Rare A recent look at TruthLaidBear brings up a statement of “outrage” about a judge ruling a rape accusation false. (McDowell, Charles P., Ph.D. “False Allegations.” Forensic Science Digest, (publication of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations), Vol. 11, No. 4 (December 1985), p. 64.) As well as the large number of rapes that go unreported, only 25% of reported rapes result in arrest. Many rape kits are not tested.[213] Only 16% of rapes and sexual assaults are reported to the police (Rape in America: A Report to the Nation. 1992 and United Nations Populations Fund, 2000a).[214][215] Factoring in unreported rapes, about 5% of rapists will ever spend a day in jail.[216] [link to en.wikipedia.org] Go fuck yourself OP. I know what you're really doing here. That's beyond retarded- it's psychotic. How can someone know the number of something that isn't reported? "25% of reported rapes result in arrest." What does that tell you, Stupid? That 75% of rape accusations are false. "Go fuck yourself OP. I know what you're really doing here." No, YOU go fuck YOURSELF because I know what you're doing here- you, like every other woman wants the power to use false accusations of rape (and DV) as a weapon and a tool for the reasons listed. The level of HATE and contempt someone would have to have to so callously and frivolously destroy entire person's life because you want attention or to get some payday in court screams PURE EVIL. Surveys, idiot. They can ask people anonymously if they have been raped and whether or not they reported it and why not. Oh, and women would never lie on a survey, right? Pfft. Women wear their 'victim' status like a badge for each other . It's sick. U.S. women really need to get a life. |

Quit blaming women for your problems. Even with false reports they still have the shit end of the stick, and hardly any rapist goes punished. Someones blog is not credible. LOL, it's a blog that just so happens to source official investigations. Are ya kind of new to this internet thing? It sources one Air Force study from 1985. Gee, almost 30 years fresh. Meanwhile, according to US stats: *only 25% of reported rapes result in arrest *only 16% of rapes and sexual assaults are reported to the police * only 5% of rapists will ever be jailed [link to en.wikipedia.org] Go try and push your rape-is-not-a-real-crime bullshit on 4chons, those retards believe anything. Pfft. What difference does it make when the study was done? Actually rape is WAY down from 20-30 years ago. So in a way it does make a difference. So what, here's a more recent one [link to www.mediaradar.org] "According to the FBI, about 95,000 forcible rapes were reported in 2004.8 Based on the statements and studies cited above, some 47,000 American men are falsely accused of rape each year." So that's roughly about half. Face it, times are changing and people can't be fooled anymore and men are saying ENOUGH. Brian Banks, Duke LaCross, The Innocence Project and on and on and on and on. Every day there's some new false accusation of rape in the papers- those are just the sensational ones. Are you living under a rock, or just pretending to? I would suggest you start paying attention, because the world has moved way past your outdated attitudes about rape. The world is waking up to the fact that most rape accusations are false. And now it's time to start focusing in on the REAL problem: FALSE ACCUSATIONS. And it's time for much harsher laws and to start cracking down. |
